Is that Wii the family edition or regular?
Cause I've always wanted to play gamecube games/use the gamecube controller. The family edition (horizontal) doesn't.
Ugh, I don't want Gaikai for backwards compatibility... Having to rebuy games, needing a friggin subscription service just to play the games (not to play online, but to play in general), not always having the games you want (will they have Intelligent Cube, Parasite Eve?), they might eventually take games off, etc.
That's a big reason why I like that gamepad, dat convenience.
We need that in future consoles.
True, I agree with what you are saying.
I predict Virtual Reality FOR THE PS4!
Well I was referring to consoles, not really handhelds, sorry.
Playstation/Wii Anolog Sticks.
Convez are the best, my thumbs always slip off concave, which is ironic.
Sony needs to lower the prices of those memory cards.. sheesh, you're telling me I have to spend like $350 just to get handheld console with sufficient memory for a couple games?
It also needs its own games that are unique. The only way gamers will play big console quality games is if they find a way to allow you to continue games from your PS3 to your Vita, other than, people will want it's own games that take advantage of the hardware.
The marketin...
Sony only had "top notch hardware" once with the PS3.... Nintendo's consoles were more powerful than the PS1 and PS2 (N64 and GameCube).
To be honest, the Wii U European ad's ONLY problem is that they made it look TOO much like a gimmick (sphew sphew sphew). It got the point across better IMO.
The problem with dual screen gaming being the main selling point for the Wii U is how not many games will need it. It would've been good to have that be a secondary/compliment/major part of the console, but with another feature alongside it.
I've never really been high on freemium. I mean, how many online gaming fads have been only fads because of free to play? (Fusion Fall, Qiuckhit football). Only some have survived, which are usually the ones from bigger companies.
Super Mario 64 must have not seem that expensive back then because of how it was a completely new and revolutionary gaming experience at the time. 3-D worlds, after two generations of nothing but sprites? Plus, no loading times on a cartridge.
It will be like Uncharted 4 with virtual reality costing like $99.99 nowadays, along is it's more than simply updated graphics, it's fine.
High Specs, Mid Price ($349)
The N64 and Saturn beat the PlayStation 1, (along with the DreamCast, I just thought you mention consoles in the same generation), and the Gamecube was the cheapest of its competitors, at $199 at release, $99 like only 2 years later.
"The “ultimate goal” for the hardware, we were told, is for it to be able to run 1080p60 games in 3D with “no problem""
I kept on saying virtual reality will be the main feature with the PS4, based on all the patents they have had. However, I was close...
This is why I still want Wii first over a Wii U, all the gamecube games, and that gamecube controller is wonderful....
1985 (NES) - 2005
To be honest, I see the PS4 and Wii U lasting about 6 years, as I believe that with al lthe patents Sony has been releasing, the PS4 will be a virtual reality based gaming platform that although could be good, will obviously be something that won't take to long be upgraded, and the Wii U seems to be what the next gen console would be without that much multimedia, since it simply has advanced hardware (it does) and a tablet style controller, which again, there will be improvements.
