As ridiculous as it may sound, I really sence a video game crash. I mean we all know the issues of cloud gaming, but also, look at this quote:

"According to IGN's list of upcoming games, over 70% of the games that have yet to be released is either going to be a sequel or prequel."

That shows you how conservative company's are getting. Even new games they do release can all fit in the same genre.

For example, after watching t...

Yo, type in "Saturn Shenmue".

Not in terms of sales of course.

You need $550 for the Vita and PS3.

You need two of the same game for the Vita and PS3.

Not every game supports the cross-play.

The Vita's controls/buttons are different.

The only way they can combat this is if they make a digital media player (like an iPad) that only does everything but has buttons, a dedicated gaming device that only does gaming so that it could be very cheap (like the gamecube), or just make the game controllers themselves be multi-purpose devices (Wii U started it, with it's Nintendo TVii and browser).

Ah, back when Sony just didn't care that much about having the most powerful hardware (the Xbox had better graphics, the Gamecube had better graphics, and proof is RE:4).

The PS1 was weaker than the saturn and N64 (the graphics only looked good because of prerendered backgrounds for some games).

Yet Sony destroyed in both gens. Now they're last.

Sony could've if they tied to continue making NEW PS exclusive spryro games, crash games, R&C gmaes, ly games, and J&D games instead of collections or letting them go off and focusing on graphic horny games that either play the same, look the same, or feel the same.

Little Big Planet is the only retail game this gen for the Playstation 3 that actually feels different.

I think I mentioned this on another thread, the game is supposed to be brawl, awesome, party fighting game like SSBB, but they're leaving out the characters from the PS1 era that game them so much diversity.

Sony should've tried to continue Spyro and Crash into this gen, and continue R&C and J& D into this gen as well like Nintendo did with their own franchises.

The people who made Spyro and R&C and the people who made Crash and J&D m...

When people say Madden is the same every year, they mean that is has the same issues that keep it from being as good as MLB the Show, NBA 2K, or even EA's very own NHL series.

I think Nintendo is using the perfect srtategy.

Release your console now, then wait for when the XBOX 720 and/or PS4 are announced, then release a Super Smash Bros. game, release an HD Zelda game with a lot of marketing, a Starfox game, and to ensure that the competitors don't do much, release a Pokemon MMO with a mass marketing campaign.

Then they've won the next-gen battle.

It's amazing, based on how ahead of it's time NFL 2K5 was, if EA didn't get the exclusive license, Madden would've been like this.

Wii U, wow.

The problem is that I just don't feel like spending 299 or 349, or else this would've been in serious consideration for me to buy.

what am i saying, none of you guys care, lol

Dude, if you get passed the shovelware games, the Wii has some really nice gems:

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Metroid Trilogy
Xenoblade Chronicles (one of the best RPG's ever)
Madden NFL 07 (had more features than it's competitors)
Mario Kart Wii

My fault, sorry.

4889d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

It can't. The PS3 Vita cross play needs the $250 Vita that needs its own separate game, and that's considering whether or not all games will be ported to the Vita, whether or not Sony can some how eliminate the need for a separate game, and whether or not all developers will feel like supporting it.

So they add this, but don't bother to fix the other numerous problems (weight, momentum, a.i, blocking, penalties, challenges, etc.)

Yikes, it seems like Nintendo is screwed financially at this point. So much, that, they might have to lay off some people, and cut the 3ds price if they want to sell any units on that hardware....

The day he does, video gaming loses it's variety, games will be nothing but graphics horny shooter games.

The only difference is that Sega actually innovated and made good hardware and introduced new things which made us appreciate it (ex. The Sega Saturn D-Pad is delicious, Sega Channel is XBL Arcade before it, the Sega Saturn/Dreamcast introduced and made online gaming popular, the Sega Saturn 3D controller introduced the analog stick a couple weeks befoe the N64 came out, first controller to use triggers properly, the VMU is similar to the Wii U to an extent, etc)

They'll probably be simple games.

As I've ranted on other articles, cloud gaming will be an epic disaster.
