Also add that to the fact that EA constantly says Madden is true to the NFL, yet every player looks, moves, and feels the same, and the game is crap as I just said above.
This. Spot on.
Madden constantly says they are true to the NFL, but when your games not only can't get uniforms correct http://www.operationsports.... ,doesn't have all the penalties (illegal contact/Pass Interference is barely called in Madden, yet in real life there's always like at leaast 2-3 per game nowadays), and lacks real play...
Madden STILL lacks player weight, player momentum, proper foot movement (too much sliding and zig zagging), realistic looking sideline player models, enough penalties (is illegal contact or PI ever called that much at all in Madden?), good A.I, realistic attempts at tackles (the IE tackles really don't resemble tackles in real-life that much at all), a good and actual working challenge system, realistic pursuit on the ball, (players zooming to pick it off or sliding), receivers that aren&...
Cloud gaming has some good things (you don't need the most powerful hardware or need much annoying downloads or patches), but the negatives outweigh the positives IMO.
You're paying full price for game that you don't own the physical copy of or at least have saves on your console/PC.
Some could gaming services require a monthly fee. So, just to play a game, I need a monthly fee. No, I don't mean XBL or PSN Plus, I'm talking about just to p...
Sorry I meant apps, not ads
To bad it's football counterpart is lacking (no weight or momentum, no proper foot movement, piss poor a.i, not even all of the penalties, etc.).
My heart almost skipped a beat when I thought I saw Final Fantasy XIII at number #27 *phew*
For me, the problem is that based on Nintendo is marketing the Wii U, they're making as if it's a PS3/360 with iPad controller, that doesn't have nearly as much ads. They're marketing it like a cool device rather than a console.
I'm not saying the console is bad or isn't gonna do anything.
The U.S lives a sedntary lifestyle.
Like I said on one other article, the Wii U showed signs of this, but yeah, I have a feeling the video game controllers themselves will be like fully portable handheld consoles themselves.
I'm not saying it's bad that it's a gimmick. But given it's price and the fact that it's a gimmick (in my opinion, I'm not saying it's a fact), it's selling more than I expected.
I'm rooting for Nintendo, they get bashed on way too much for the Wii when it had a lot of overlooked great games.
With that being said, the Wii U seems more like a gimmick than the Wii (it's just my opinion), yet it's getting sold out like crazy.
Good choices. Final Fantasy XIII gets too much recommendations/praise (even though many FF fans don't like it very much) than it deserves.
Too much safe sequels, not enough new creative/different games is what hurt this gen.
That list is still GREAT though.
I don't think it's bad at all, just not viable yet.
It kind of shows you how graphics affected games. Naughty Dog used to make action, adventure or platforming (or all in one) type games, now Uncharted, even though it has platform elements, is obviously geared towards a more serious, and because of graphics, more realistic setting. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Uncharted is still a good series.
Wii U already started it, I think consoles in the future might make they're controllers be all-purpose devices that you can bring anywhere.
Reminds me of certain stores not wanting to sell the sega Saturn because it announced retail in only 4 select stores in the U.S which pissed off many other stores, which lead to it's demise.
I'm not saying that'll happen here with the Wii U.
Yeah, but the point I was trying ot make was that we don't know anything about the PS4 features, so it's kind of dumb (IMO, not in a mean way) to think the PS4 and 720 will not be cheap when they arrive when Microsoft or Sony has not announced any features, or even the name of their next consoles.
"The Xbox 720 and PS4 Aren’t Going To Be Cheap When They Arrive"
Sony has barely said sh*t about the PS4, and the PS3 was the only expensive one of the bunch.
Let me just copy this from the other thread. Why cloud gaming isn't as convenient or good as it seems.
