That was f*ckin' hilarious.
This is how MS is getting the Bungie team to stay.
Gonna try to get it from Wal-Mart at midnight. Not sure what time I'll go there to start waiting though...
I'm in the same boat you are as far as never playing Halo 1 or 2. It isn't because I was a PS2 owner, but because I just skipped that generation completely.
Hopefully I'll get a copy at midnight and get some campaign time in. I'm really lookin' forward to co-op and multiplayer though, with all the people on my friends list.
This game should have a ton of replayability. I can't wait. :-)
I'm not buying sports titles anymore, unless there's a lull in other games.
The last sports title I bought was Madden '07, but I held off on buying this year's iteration. Madden '06 and '07 are the only sports titles I have and I've had my 360 since launch. I Also have WWESVR07, but I dunno if that can be considered sports. I'm also passing on WWESVR08.
...cuz all the people on my friends list are getting it.
...when the PS3 fans were hyping this game as a PS3 exclusive. They kept saying how gorgeous the game was and how great it would be. That was pretty comical.
Demo was good, but too short. I don't like the look of this one as much as the original. It's too dull looking, whereas the first was shiny and vibrant.
I can't decide if I wanna buy it or not. Oh well.
"DIRT,LAIR,HS,WARHAWK,STR ANGLE HOLD and GRAW 2"
Ummm Xbox 360 owners have been playing DiRT and GRAW2 for a while already, and StrangleHold is multiplat.
F*ck you're a moron.
I've been tempted to do that, but there's already so many games coming out that I don't want to spend the money on last gen games. Plus Bioshock is coming out, and I'd much rather play that than old games.
maybe next year in the summer lull I'll grab all three Halo games and play through them.
I'm new to Halo, but I want Halo 3. That's too much to read for me. I'll probably just jump in and be confused. :-\

Congrats. The article is nearly a year old.
I pre-ordered at Best Buy, so if Circuit City is cheaper, I'll get Best Buy to price match. Price matching FTW.
When I went to Target, I didn't ask anyone of they were selling it. When I got home, I called and the guy in electronics told me they don't break street dates, otherwise they get a fine of five grand.
I went to Best Buy, Target, GameStop, Toys R Us, Circuit City, K-Mart and Wal-Mart and none of them were selling it. The chick at Toys R Us said if they break the street date, they get fined. She also said they didn't even have it yet and don't usually get it this early. The lady at GameStop said they'll break the street date if someone has a receipt proving another store broke it, and then they call the District Manager for approval. I asked if they had it, she said not yet. I'm a little bum...
...is that if you pre-order Halo 3 (online), you can get 1600 MS points for $4.99.
I'll probably pre-order Halo 3 online just to have those points.
I've been hearing great things about Madden this year, but I'm trying to talk myself out of getting it. I got '06 and '07, but I really want to skip this year and maybe get it next year. Oh well, we'll see how this week goes. Maybe once Bioshock releases, I won't even think about Madden. :-)
I'm now at like 46% or 49%. It isn't moving very much at all. :-(
I got to 25% so fast then came in here to read what everyone was saying, went back in the other to check it and Live had crashed out. :-\
I shut down my 360 and the booted it back, and now it's taking soooooooo loooooooonnngggg. :-(
...but you also have to remember that in its first year, it had the highest game attach rate in history. From launch until now, there has been nothing but an abundance of quality titles for Xbox 360.
I'd be interested to find out what the attach rate is currently and how much (if) it's changed in the past six months to a year or so.
