Maybe the difficulty? I set it on Hardcore. I dunno.
"good but not enough...
i admit geow 2 is good but a measly 5 to 8 hours campaign"
You can't even be serious. It took me probably double that. I played for around 4 hours after the midnight launch, then practically all day Friday, and then finally knocked out the last couple hours today.
Five to eight hour campaign my *ss. LMFAO, GTFO with that nonsense.
There isn't as much as hype for Gears 2, and there definitely as much advertising for it either.
Where's my official Gears of War 2 energy drink? It won't touch Halo 3's record, but it will probably be in the top 3 or 5.
The author probably thinks it's the same gold as music sales (100,000 copies sold I think). It's just him being uninformed to gaming terminology I guess.
Nvm.
I've played through Gears at least a dozen times, probably more. I love the campaign so much. I'll probably play through Gears 2 more than I played the first one.
I had it pre-ordered at GameStop, and they didn't get their shipment due to FedEx or whatever. I instead went to Circuit City and got it along with a free gears faceplate, and then went to GameStop and got my money back from them. Suck on that GameStop >:-(
Not only that, but the site fills up with so many submissions from the same site back to back to back, that it isn't even worth it to try to sort through to find stuff that's actually newsworthy.
Dude needs to move out of his mom's attic, then fix that gap in his teeth, and then get some real eyebrows. I don't know what those are. His rant is pathetic with his southern drawl.
...hope most of that comes to fruition.
I love Mass Effect. It's an incredible game and I can't wait for ME2 to release, which according to that, will be November 2009.
Those are awesome. I'd definitely like something like that to come with my game.
...but we all know it's bullsh*t. It pisses me off too, because the PC version will probably come with bonus chapters and such, just like it did last time, as well as all the DLC we paid for, and it'll be cheaper on top of all that.
If I didn't want GeoW2 so much, I'd boycott it. Alas, I can't see myself doing that =(
Pre-order, get the demo key, download the demo and play it, then cancel your pre-order and get your money back.
I probably won't get a new game until Gears of War 2 comes out =(
From this list though, I am interested in Fracture, Saints Row 2, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3.
Maybe I'll pick some of em up down the line when they've dropped in price.
"Well that kid is...
...is a moron. Not for getting a PS3, but for trading all his Xbox stuff for it. Just save up all year and buy a PS3 to sit next to your Xbox, or ask daddy for one for Christmas.
Also like someone else said, how the hell did he not know about MGS4 until now? He watches all the shows, yet knew nothing about anything PS3 until E3 LMAO. GTFO."
I stand by my words. If he made $300 by selling a WoW character, he could have easily re-bo...
It's acting like every Xbox won't be functional for 24 hours.
Play a single player game. Currently, I'm playing through Bioshock for the second time. After that, I'll play through Rainbow Six Vegas. Not a big deal to be off of XBL for a whole 24 hours.
"Mika's post is showing up on major game sites like EvAv, V3D, 1UP, BluesNews, YouGamers, Ferrago, Joystiq, Kotaku."
N4G = FAIL X-D
I like hitting up Taco Bell at 1 in the morning for fourth wall.
People should play on Hardcore and stop complaining about the length of the game. Of course it's gonna be quick if you play it on Casual. Enemies are dead after a few shots probably. Boring.
Play it on the harder difficulties, and learn some strategy about taking cover and conserving ammo.
I played it on Hardcore by myself on my first playthrough, and it took me a good bit of time...probably around 14 or so hours.
