I've been waiting for another Ghost Recon. I loved GRAW and GRAW2, and they opened the doors for me to become the more varied gamer I am today.
I pick and choose which DLC I want to buy. If it's for a game that I love and feel like the devs deserve my extra money, and that the content was made after the game released, then I'll buy it.
I haven't bought a ton of DLC, but it has been a substantial amount.

360 fanboys claimed it was going to flop, yet in just a few days, it managed to sell pretty well with nearly 220,000 copies.

Forge, Theater Mode and four player co-op give Halo 3 so much replay value. I can't think of a single (console) game that can match Halo 3 feature for feature. It came out in 2007, and it has yet to be surpassed.
Sure other games look better, but no other game has the amazing features that Halo 3 has. Reach will have all of that, plus Firefight (with matchmaking probably) and hopefully some unannounced features as well.
That date isn't even a year and a half out of DA:O's release.
I would hope it's another expansion and not a full fledged release.

I didn't buy the map pack from CoD4, and I probably won't buy the DLC for MW2.
It isn't that I don't like MW2, it's that I don't play MP enough to warrant it. I definitely like the campaign and Spec Ops, but I can't get into MP.

Bungie has supported Halo 3 post-release more than any other developer has supported their game post-release this gen.
There have been three or four map packs, Double XP every week, frequent playlist updates, Bungie favorites on a weekly basis, etc.
That is the reason why Halo: Reach will PWN MW2. It will release with tons of polish and few, if any bugs and glitches.
Reach cannot come soon enough!

I'll probably buy this used next year. I really liked the campaign for WaW and thought the gore and brutality they added were a nice touch.
Also, Nazi Zombies is a ton of fun. I don't play enough MP to warrant me purchasing the map packs, so I wish they would just release the Nazi Zombie maps as a bundle.
Hopefully the gore and Nazi Zombies are both in this one.

Funny you mention that because in Halo 3, you can look down and actually see your feet and legs. In Killzone 2, you look down and see nothing but the ground. Hmmm.
By the way, I love Killzone 2 and I bought a PS3 so I could play the game and I was not disappointed.
While I haven't played the MP enough to experience all the hacks, bugs and glitches, seeing all these articles just makes me appreciate Halo 3 that much more.
Bungie takes cheating extremely serious, and gamers know it. If they don't know it, they find out soon enough.
Has IW even made any kind of acknowledgment about everything wrong with the MP? I think they patched the Care Package glitch, but that's like putting a Band-Aid on a leaking dam.

He loved Halo: CE, loved Halo 2 even more,thought halo 3 was awesome and thought ODST was awesome with the vibe, atmosphere and musical score. So basically, Bungie has yet to let him down with a Halo game, so why on Earth do they have to win him back?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but I feel like Halo 3 is impressive graphically. The character models, especially humans, leave a lot to be desired, but the environments and lighting are always great looking.

I thought the Normandy Crash Site was brilliant.
Yeah it was easy, but it was really cool being able to explore the wreckage and getting the little flashback images of crew members. Reading Pressly's datapad was a nice touch too.
