It's good to see comments from people who actually play the game and know how much detail Bungie put into it.
To touch on the grenade bit...I was playing Firefight on what's the last level of the game (can't think of the map title) and a Brute was just outside the supply room, so I throw a Plasma Grenade at him, it hits his Spike Grenade as he's throwing it at me, and then lands at my feet, both blow up and kill me.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but Halo 3, graphically, is very underrated. The environments are lush and gorgeous, it has great water that is multi-dimensioned, and the lighting is superb.
The human character facial models leave a lot to be desired, but everything else is top notch.
I'm not sure any other game has the physics that Halo 3 has. Rockets and grenades can be shot in midair. You can use the Gravity Hammer to hit rockets. It truly is an amazin...
The face buttons on the controller are all wrong! Cake Boss would have done it better!
The gun in this pic is almost an exact copy of the Hammerburst from Gears.
There aren't many people on PSN that have headsets, so you wouldn't have to worry about it either way.

I love Halo 3's Theater Mode.
I wish every game would include this feature. It allows people to prove that they actually did something awesome and unbelievable rather than everyone thinking it's fabricated.
I have a couple awesome moments on Valhalla that involve Banshees and Power Drains.
I think I read that ODST had been ready for a couple months before it released so that they could test the hell out of it.
Kudos to Bungie though. Halo 3 didn't have any glitches or exploits. Hopefully Reach will be the same way.

It's my first RTS, so I have nothing with which to compare it, but being familiar with the Halo Universe made it a great experience.
Also, I didn't buy it because it had Halo on the cover. I originally thought it looked boring from a few videos, then I downloaded the demo and was sold. I played that demo a ton of times.
As a dual console owner, this was an expensive year for me.

I bought a PS3 JUST for Killzone 2.
Then a little demo for inFamous came along, and I ended up getting that game at release.
I'm getting Dragon Age: Origins for Christmas, so that will be three of the four.
I really have no plans to get Borderlands. Maybe I'll GameFly it sometime next year after I've finished my Christmas games, and the heavy hitters in the early part of the year.
I really wish people would stop saying it was going to be DLC. Bungie, nor MS, EVER stated it was going to be DLC.

I've heard that sometimes games on Blu-Ray have the data duplicated multiple times due to the speed of the drive. Is it at all possible that some of the 40 GBs is duplicated data and for the 360 version could be removed since the DVD drive has a higher speed?

I do agree that he should slow down. I mean, he probably wants to make as much money as possible, though it isn't ALL about the money, BUT if he's the main character in too many games, all the characters have the potential to sound the same.
All that said, Nathan Drake is such a charismatic character, and Nolan North did an excellent job as Drake.
Becoming a fan of the Halo franchise this gen (Halo 3 was my first game), I don't care if the gfx are only a slight improvement over Halo 3, because I think Halo 3's gfx are vastly under-rated. I think it's a gorgeous game with beautiful environments and great lighting.
