I thought it had ended too, maybe PC only, I just tried to get on and there are 6 servers still up but can't get into any.
I'm still not sure what to get it on yet, obviously the PC version will be better graphically, but not on mine, I can't run it above gamer settings with a decent frame rate (8800gt). So I'll be doing my own private comparison. If the PS3 version is as broken as IGNorant say it is then I might have an excuse for a new graphics card :-)

Really though, what is the big deal, all PC games have a friggin mandatory install and you won't hear anyone marking that down as a flaw! Face it, the only reason why the xbox version doesn't have a mandatory install is because some of you plebs don't even have a hard drive lol
I was a huge fan of the original too and while the graphics and stuff look ok WTF is with boss battles?

The guys an actor, actors don't change face for every movie, why should he have to change his voice for every game?
It does look more immersive and the actual racing aspect looks to be better. But the handling physics are all wrong, the game is not a sim, as much as it may long to be, its an arcade racer end of. And tbh GRID is still a better mix of arcade and sim than this.

I played it on the PSP and hated it, then my bro gave me his old DS when he got a DSi so I got a loan of China Town off him to give it another bash on the DS, still hated it.
Definitely the worst GTA game I've ever played and I'm a big GTA fan. I honestly never saw what folks were getting at saying it was great, Vice City stories is by far the best PSP GTA game.

The thing that gets me though is the fact that people keep saying thing like Apple are crushing Nintendo and Sony in the hand held market. Really though, are they?
I would say not really no, the people who are happy to play $1 games on a phone rather than playing proper games on a gaming device, probably would never have bought said gaming device anyway! So really they're not hurting anyone.

It still doesn't change the fact that 90% of smartphone games are rubbish, and regardless of what any app store game devs want you to believe, you just can't play anything other than fun little puzzle games without proper input methods.
It just goes back to the old sales vs quality argument.
Just because smartphone games sell by the buttload doesn't mean they're any good.

Physics look the same as last time which is dissapointing, watch the second vid and at about 0.36 theres no way the car would have oversteered like that. Frame rate is vastly improved though which is nice.
GT5 videos were the worst for that. You have to remember though that its probably the first time they've ever played it.
I had mixed emotions with the first game, some things I loved about it and others not so.
This however looks very promising and as long as the framerate is better than the first one, I'm definitely in.
Yup, its just a modified ID tech 3 engine. Which was created in like 1999 or something. So neither IW or Treyarch created it. And its old, and starting to show its age.
To be fair though, it still looks great for an engine created 12 years ago! (compliment aimed at Id not IW or Treyarch.)
