Seriously though, whats wrong with playing on PC and consoles?
I know I do, PC for multiplats and PC exclusives. PS3 for PS3 and console exclusives.
Simples.
In the pics Dirt3 looks better from a gaming point of view, but GT5 looks more realistic, mostly due to the lighting.
You forgot the most important thing. I dont need to lift my lazy ass off my chair to go to a shop, thats what I love :-)
It's a hard question to answer, some games are definitely worth the price tag. Most games however are not!
DLC however is most definitely over priced and downloadable games being the same price as their boxed counterparts is just ridiculous.
Piracy helps no one but yourself, just because it doesnt harm the industry as much as people think doesnt make it right.
Fact is though, pre-owned sales do more harm to console gaming than piracy does.
@Beastly
And Batman AA GOTY Edition for £3.75 a couple of weeks back. Deals have been awesome recently.
Invisible Snipers seem to be all the rage right now.
And this my friends is why PC gaming rocks, Steam sales :-)
I got Borderlands for the PS3 originally, but this is cheaper for the full game and all DLC than just the DLC on the PS3! Does mean I'm gonna have to play the whole thing again though, but hey thats a good thing innit?
I dont get why the devs are complaining. Like you say, next gen hardware is already here in the form of the PC, show us what you can do on that then we'll start to talk about new consoles.
PC games always take a leap over console games in the second half of a console gen I dont see this one being any different. Look at games like DOOM 3, and Half Life 2 and others, they came out on PC during the last console gen and they were leaps and bounds above anything any console could do b...
A handful of developers are talking about it. If anything the console manufacturers are saying it ain't gonna happen any time soon.
My internet is shit I'll give you that, about 4mb. It's the best you can get in this shite town I live in. It wasn't 3hrs that was an exaggeration, but it was well over an hour.
It was more to do with the fact that it downloaded the initial bit from the store, then an update, then it finally started downloading the beta! Stupid system really, the MAG beta was the same too.
I'm not shitting on the game btw, it is actually pretty good, just the download methods. ...
Only thing I hated was the crappy download system, took about 3hrs in total to download!
MS gets exclusive content -"They bribed them with their deep pockets! Typical MS tactic!"
Sony gets exclusive content -"This is a good deal. Sony are good!"
Actually I think you'll find Sony kinda did pay for this, in that they had already pumped millions into the production of the game before letting it go and Rockstar picking up the pieces.
Rather than Sony saying, "hold on there Rockstar, that'll be x million please". ...
That is awesome, I hope they put that on TV, people would be going nuts about it, it would drum up massive interest.
Try setting the audio to War Tapes mode, its mental! I had to change it back to normal so I didn't start getting post traumatic stress.
The sound in the Battlefield games is epic.
Agreed, I'm not picking on the game, just the marketing. I just fear that EA are setting themselves up.
"It was like I slapped baby Jesus in front of them."
Lol, bubbles to you.
Never heard of it.
But more pics please ;-)
As much as I'm looking forward to BF3 and I know its gonna be awesome, EA really need to watch they don't overhype this. The way they're pushing this it better be more than just pretty graphics, or it'll get slammed due to over expectancy.
Dunno about anyone else, but I'm starting to get a bit bored of hearing about it, by the time it comes out people will have stopped caring.
@Millah
True dat.
A GT440 has a higher clock speed than a GTX580, I think we all know which one is better. Clock speed, whilst not being completely irrelevent is not a deciding factor in how good a GPU is.
