I read that Oculus and Vive use the same screen and its $100USD alone, not including the headset or guts.
Very true. Pay more to get a better experience.
Reddit already tore this up like Kleenex at a Snot Party.
Article has numerous mistakes like Rift being developed by google, and PSVR costing around $1200CDN (Which sony has already denied.)
As much as I want to believe you, and I really do, I just cant see Nintendo pulling ahead with VR.
Youre right in some respects: They DO know 3d, they DO know AR, but where Nintendo lags is they DONT put out powerful hardware. Nintendo consoles have never been involved in an arms race, they rely on Original IPs and innovation.
VR takes serious horsepower and I think all the consoles will struggle with that until Devs learn to unlock its potential.
@Angelic
Ok, so neither of them are exclusives. You win I guess. As long as they come to PC, I couldnt care less which console gets exclusivity.
No Man's Sky is coming to PC, so its not really an "exclusive". Thank god it is coming to PC, that game looks unique and amazing.
A plain Xbox One controller here in Canada is $80CDN. I got my Elite for $160, so roughly 2 controllers. This beauty will last me far longer than those 2 controllers and give me so much more joy.
Although, I really hate the Xbox Accessories App you have to use to relocate the keys. I really hope Controller Companion will get Elite support soon.
Ha! I like your style.
I wish they would show the transition from Clones to enlisting and kidnapping children. I have to say Finn sure as hell dont look like Jango.
Perhaps marksmenship isnt genetic? I mean if my dad works out and is 300lbs, doesnt mean Ill be born with rippling muscles. Perhaps the Killer instinct and loyalty is all that is bred into the Clones.
I hear you about the initial attack. I was actually impressed with the troopers! ...
@Neonrider
Can you imagine if Vorpx was sold on steam with community support? There would be lots of VR "hacks" for our favourite games and the community would be able to perfectly tune the experience.
Designing and Developing a working X-Wing is expensive. I think Ill cheap out and fly the Battle of Endor on Oculus instead.
I've been gaming with Smoking Buds for almost 2 decades.
Thats a good point. 15 games is hardly worth the money now, but there could always be incentives for new releases: Early access, discounts, Demos, Preorders,etc.
This doesnt have a lot of value for myself as I usually play older games. Plus I like the ecosystem Steam has going.
If its anything like the movie, you have to be a Girl to play...
I dont know if PC gamers would do a subscription service or not. Interesting to see if this takes off.
Do yourself a favor, head to Youtube and watch Kung Fury. Its about 20 mins or so long, but they fit every stitch of 80's culture into one short film. And its glorious.
Kraenk.
You dont have to have the full room dedicated. You can leave the lighthouses on your desktop. They probably have a smaller footprint than the kinect or the Rift sensor.
There are probably 9 seated experiences per 10 games with VR.
Vive is who Im pulling for. They believe in an open community for gaming. No paywalls, or exclusives. Hell, they just give away VR tools and Dev kits with no timed exclusive BS.
Sony is battling themselves for console VR supremacy. Vive is the only one taking on Rift.
I can actually back you on this one. When I go back to Tamriel in VR, I may never come back.
For being a gimmick its lasted a long time. I remember the Rumble pack for the Nintendo 64. Sure enough even my elite controller has rumble triggers almost 20 years later.
They keep getting knocked off by Moderators because the Vive and Oculus arent "Gaming related". Ive seen 5 articles turfed regarding Vive and Oculus. But they keep cranking out more PSVR articles by the dozen. Go figure....
