Yeah, that may be. But I prefer a Modded Skyrim on my PC to a new Online Subscription game. A modded Skyrim will make that game look terrible by comparison, and its a one-time fee. Not enough perks for me to pay a monthly subscription.

Those are all pretty terrible names. But damned if they dont grow on you. We must miss quite a bit during translation.
I can't see amazon as being a threat to the big 3. Steam box will probably be the most successful of the bunch, but even that may not do so well. Cell phone games are popular because they are portable. I don't see that translating well on the big screen.
Steam is only used by the pc crowd right now. So I'm not sure who they are marketing their console for. The casual base won't know what the hell to do with 12 Steambox models to chose from. So they may shy away.

I wasn't saying One area equals domination of the market. I was just saying Nintendo and Sony are both doing well.

This unit sounds incredible!....But the kickstarter fell through October 2013. Kind of pointless article.
Nintendo is doing better overall and with the Handheld market, but straight up PS4 vs Wii U.....Playstation takes that one.
Looks like Consoles are the new black. Amazon, Google, Ouya, Steam....Everyone is trying to cash in. Personally I think that the console market is pretty locked up by the big 3 at the moment. I cant see there being a big market to play Cell Phone games on a big screen, but I guess we wont know till they hit the shelves.

I cant wait to tell my friends I was scuba diving or skiing all weekend, and thats why I have stupid red lines around my face. Its certainly not because I was wearing the headset all weekend.
Nintendo toys have been in happy meals since the 80's. I never thought this would be such a big deal.

How about some Cross-Console play between the 3DS and Wii U? Maybe bring your animal crossing character between the 2. Or Pokemon, or Fire emblem. If Nintendo could find a way of marrying the 2 consoles, it would help build off the success of the 3DS.
If all else fails here is a 3 step plan for Nintendo;
1. Super Smash Bros
2. Mariokart
3. Zelda Wii U
Do those simple steps in any order, and the gamers will be mollified.
