If only it was that simple. 90% of PS3 games would be improved by it I'm sure. I'm looking at you resistance fall of man!
I'm not convinced that the Cryengine 3 will have any noticable difference on PS3. A better question would be how does it stand up to the Killzone 2 engine with the work that's been done to it since Killzone 2 shipped.
Whichever game uses it next I expect to look markedly better than KZ2 so it will be interesting to see 2 relatively new powerful engines on PS3 competing.
Still gutted about what happened to Free Radical. Haze came too early in the generation and why they didn't make a multiplatform Timesplitters first is really beyond me. Things could have gone so differently.
In the end you have to say that if they weren't able to get the most out of the PS3 then they should have waited or just made Haze multiplatform.
Hope they are still knocking about because there was a lot of talent in Free Radical.
If the player is encouraged or it is presented as titillating then it is quite wrong in my opinion. Only Blizzrd or Activision games I have ever bought are D2 and MW. Loved D2 my favourite online game ever but as soon as I got Killzone2 I was bored of MW. A boycott wouldn't affect me too much though it would be a shame to miss out on D3. Waiting till the price drops could still be considered a partial boycott right? Right?

It's the insult more than the action. there's nothing wrong with game on demand it's actually a really good move but to insult people's intelligence by charging exorbitant amounts of money deserves harsh criticism.

It's pretty shocking that on the fingers of one hand I can count the number of Wii games that look better than some of the best PS2 games from 3 years ago.
Trust me I won't be buying anything Blizzard or Activision. Some things are more important than games. It's the principle of the matter.

My point isn't that one game is better than another. My position is that where games are comparable the 360 version is usually scored higher.
I think that Uncharted and Gears are a good example because they are sort of hollywood blockbuster type games with great graphics and a broad appeal.
Fallout 1 and 2 had better endings. You could actually clock the game in completely different ways that had nothing to do with each other. Clocking them one way may take 10 hours and another way 50.
Depending on what you do in Fallout 3 you get different still images at the end. I find that pretty lame.

There's just some things that mortals like you and me aren't meant to do though. Completing ghouls and goblins is one of them.
Look at it another way. Which games that are out now with no extra peripheral device would you pay £70-$100 for? I can't think of one.
