I don't know what will happen with onlive but seeing it and gaikai emerge assures me that the PS4 will not use physical media, certainly if it doesn't release before 2011 (which it won't).
EDIT: Oh and as far as a ten year life span I predict a 7 year lifespan and a 3 year semi retirement for the PS3.
The Agency combines cinema and action so how is it appropriate to say that it's an MMO. It's not going to support hundreds of people on screen at once. Home has better graphics and that supports up to 50 people in one environment at a time.
Looks like a PS2 game.
I don't know about the getaway. Are Sony really going to spend $100 million plus on it? Even if they did would people buy it? Look at Killzone.
Putting adverts on a paid for service. Not good.
From beginning to end I have 3 games that are seriously underrated and hardly played to completion.
So here are my top three lesser mentioned games you have to clock.
Manhunt
This game is on first play a hugely unambtious basic stealth title with gore. Keep playing and all of a sudden you are starting to struggle to outmaneuver the gangs that patrol looking for you. Then you get to the part of the game with guns and a tremendous amount of skill and retri...

Please don't disagree with me when i am giving an honest unbiased opinion that is irrefutable.
Who could say that looking at both screenshots leaves the feeling that AS THEY ARE NOW, one looks better than the other.
lol links don't work.
You'll have...
It seems I will have to find the actual links to the comparisons given the 2 disagrees. (yawn)
You should seriously check out the comparisons between the two version because the 360 version although admittedly pretty advanced for a few week old version has vastly less detail than the PS3 version- at this moment in time.
Natal has its own RAM? Well there's a turn up for the books.
The problem with this new development tool is that it comes at the same time as Natal. How much extra memory does Natal require 20mb, 60mb, 100mb?
If games are to take advantage of Natal then frankly we will will not be seeing gears of war quality games in future. That may not matter if it's purely a casual gamer peripheral but if it truly the next step in console interface then it will in some respects be a step backwards.
Sony's new control method on the other han...
Just watched the Alan Wake presentation and wow. When did a mystery/horror game become an action game? Seriously disappointed.
Was one of the games I may have picked up a cheap 360 for in the future. As it stands there is a list of 4 games i want a 360 for (fable 2, Viva Pinata, Left for Dead, Dead Rising). None of them are due for release BTW.
I would pay for the game just the subscription would be free. If the game was good enough I'd find myself spending money on it just like Guild Wars or LittleBigPlanet.
Guess they just lost one potential customer (me). Perhaps a European boycott would change their mind.
Sub CSS graphics but at least they improved them at all.
FF7, SOTC, Half Life could all do with enhanced re-releases.
More games like that please. The nerdier the better.
I love how on that game you can't reload.
You die, you DIE!!!
to add to my previous comment I'd just like to say that I wish all consoles would concentrate on traditional games at least until next gen. Until true virtual reality is out there I don't really care about all this gimmickery save for the odd bit of Singstar or guitar hero. That mecha game with the 150 button pad is more my taste.
On another topic I believe that the M$ have shot themselves in the foot with Nathal. Although the tech is lightyears ahead of other motion sensing.
Practically it's not suited to games as they are now. If M$ talk up this tech too much then 360 owners will see the PS3 as a hardcore choice.
I can actually see games that would be improved with the PS3 motion tech like flower for instance or silent hill but Nathal is so complex that no game will run it and give the same quality of e...
looks awesome.
Halo 2 for me.
Final fantasy VIII was a bit of a ball ache for me after the previous entry. I think that it had all the ingredients to be a better game but ultimately it suffered from the CD format and should have been (ideally though not possible I know) on DVD plus I think that it felt unfinished and could have done with a bigger budget to flesh out the game world and gameplay.
On another note Shenmue 2 had me hooked after my disapointment in Shenmue 1. The game wa...
