Agreed. This wasn't even rumored or speculated. It just happened.
*crickets*
Really?! I thought it looked fantastic and I can't even stand Halo. I thought it was one of the more impressive demoes since I wasn't expecting more from "another Halo".
Pfft . . . please, it's another mediocre Brother's In Arms game.
Jesus, turn your inner fanboy off. What he simply means is that they are a small, independent developer and they're going to focus on the easiest and cheapest platform development to cut production costs and minimize potential losses as this is their first foray into console development. Stop being a freaking idiot.
Not necessarily the best graphics but amazing, amazing art. Seriously, I know people go ga ga for the ultra realistic graphics but I think it takes more creativity to develop such an beautiful, artistic vision. Team Ico's games have always had that artistic direction that's very, very familiar.
I mean seriously though, buffering the movie while the ads and intros roll is genius. It's like loading a game during the cut scenes. Brilliant. I mean, Netflix buffers before the movie plays and goes back to the buffer screen when your internet speed changes which is a pain in the balls.
I'm with you, not getting Fifa 10 but if PES is a winner this year, I'm going back to PES. Fifa 09 is great though but I have a fondness for PES. Just hope it's as great as first impressions say it is.
This spit actually works!!! God dammit Microsoft may be on to something here! These lucky mucks!
That's what I do. When I get a game that has a mandatory install, I fix myself a few snacks and just chill before jumping into the experience. I do the same with an XBox 360 game. It's just that the game is installing on the PS3 while I do these things.
This is what happens when a multiplayer game doesn't have a beta, even closed beta. Epic should be smacked for repeating many of the shortcomings of the first game's multiplayer. Next time, have damn beta Epic!
Dragon Age is shaping up to be nothing short of mediocre. There has been nothing but negative impressions of the title and using UE3 middleware adds to the underwhelming impressions of the game.
How is ratio comparable to volume? Better quality ratio means nothing when you have half the content. Of course there'll be a better ratio. That's common sense.
Dude, why do I care about Gold membership. That's not what the article or my argument is about. And if you can get 20 million people to pay for something why would you give it away for free? That's just not good business. If you're saying PSN has more content that appeals to you, that's fine. That's an opinion. To say it has better content isn't fact.
Braid, GTA: Lost and Damned, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved & Retro Evolved 2, Rez HD, Castle Crashers, Peggle, Ikaruga, Poker Smash, Rocket Riot, N+, Galaga Legions, Burnout 3: Takedown, Ninja Gaiden Black, Space Invaders Extreme, Fable, Psychonauts, Duke Nukem 3D, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Doom. Those are just some of the games I've bought on Live in the past 3 years. Dutka's article isn't even relevant to his inciteful headline because in his article he cleary concedes that PSN...
Funny how people pay for Live but yet Live has generated 3 times as much content revenue as PSN and has twice the amount of content. The price argument has no place here because the article addresses content and content is availble to Silver members who have free Live service. When you look at content, user interface and functionality, Live is the better service. I have and use both so this isn't conjecture.
I did read his article and in terms of content, Live still eclipses PSN; in quantity and quality. That's not opinion, that's quantifiable fact. Something we can thank the growing dependence on metacritic for. *Sigh* Not just content but how content is distributed and downloaded in better on Live. It just is. I took Ben to task a couple weeks ago for how insightful his articles are. Look at the headline "Online Service Battle: Network Outstripping Live". That's not fact it's a weight...
Live is better than PSN. Always has been. Only a fanboy would like to think otherwise. PSN is evolving and constantly improving but it's in a state of perpetual catch up. Ben Dutka is a fanboy!
Everyday there is a new one. Each more inarticulate than the last and surely, wont be the last. Sigh.
What's Remedy's engine called again?
