Fanboy down! This is nothing like that! Developers have long made promises they've failed to deliver on, this isn't new. What's troubling in this case is, the developer claimed that the PS3 would be their lead platform and that they were comfortable and looking forward to the game's development. The end product shows a poorer quality than the game's port if in fact the PS3 was the lead platform. How the hell is that possible?! How can the game be half the resolution and compensation made to t...

I doubt it. I was hoping it would be playable at E3. When it wasn't, it pretty much confirmed the game wont be releasing this year.

JRPG is the most stagnant, generic genre of video games this generation. It's a genre in desperate need of innovation. It the genre with the least creative turnover, with the same game designers making the same games they did 10 years ago. The genre needs fresh blood.

I really don't think the control scheme is better. The analogue stick is closer to the center of the unit giving you less balance when you actually hold it in your hands to play and game using the analogue stick. I would have preferred a larger, more durable analogue stick where the D-pad is and a smaller D-pad where the analogue stick is. The D-pad is for basic navigation anyway.

Bubbles. I was just about to type the same thing. They commented that they wont be commenting. That's like an announcement to announce an announcement. Jesus!

And this is where all the bullshit comes in. If you know you're eventually going to do it, why jerk off the consumer? F**k these game companies. I no longer even blame Microsoft, I blame the publishers who constantly have their hands in consumers' pockets but continue to insult our intelligence.

Sequel?! Why not just continue to update the current game with costume, characters and locations?! The game doesn't have a story that warrants a new iteration and the art style nor tech doesn't lend itself to a graphical leap. Why not make Marvel vs Capcom 3 instead.

I know right. I'm one of them. I ran in here thinking there was a press release or something not place holder dates from Play. SMH!

Don't any of you play World at War? You can play the maps from the first map pack in both core and hardcore modes even if you don't have the second map pack. The new map pack has just been added along with the first to the "Map Pack" playlist.

I love Double Agent too. Thought it had more personality than the other games though, I enjoyed them all. This is pure BS though. "Link of heart", who the f**k is Ubisoft kidding?! Microsoft open their big, fat piggy bank and Ubisoft spread their legs like a cheap whore.

He's an arrogant prick. What more is there to it? To openly threaten to not support a console manufacture if they don't cut the price is blackmail. This is ridiculous.

Like I said in earlier posts about this, if these so called journalists had bother to follow up or even taken what Ballmer said in context they would have realized he was talking about Natal and not a new console. Gaming journalism is an oxymoron.

The Wii actually isn't. It's catering to exactly the PS2's casual market. Iwata said this himself. Nintendo did their homework, Sony didn't. And you commented on the XBox 360's $199 SKU but the NPD has calculated that the average price of the XBox 360 sold each month since the price drop has been between $277 at its lowest and $284 dollars at its highest, showing that the $300 60 GB Pro model has been the most popular. People forget, the Pro console is still cheaper than the entry level PS3. ...

I think the recent reports that have flooded the internet of a new Xbox 360 shows the unprofessionalism of what we call the gaming media. If taken in context, Ballmer was refering to the launch of Natal in 2010, not a new SKU. Current SKU's will probably be packaged with Natal as well as it being sold as a standalone to existing XBox 360 owners. Microsoft has quietly been updating and released more reliable SKU's. I think it's really unfortunate that before "journalists" ran with th...

Not even. It's just the current SKU's packaged with Natal and Natal as a standalone peripheral.

Seems to me Ballmer was talking about the launch of Natal and not another new SKU. Probably just the current SKU's packaged with Natal and Natal as a standalone peripheral.

I think you like Sony miscalculated. Price is not a barrier. I think people forget how much shovel ware like Simpson's Skateboarding was on the PS2 and how titles like these were what propelled the PS2 into the homes of the casual gamer. The Wii has essentially halved the HD console market. Sony thinks it's competing for part of a 140 million pie but they're competing for a part of a 70 million pie. The PS2 was the only alternative for the casual gamer and it propelled the console to great h...

Sadly, it wasn't a port. The PS3 was the lead platform. Or so the developers have claimed.

Seriously, this just shows that internally Sony has done a fantastic job of developing proprietary engines for their first and second party titles.
