Microsoft are very welcoming. They only f*@% you on the back end when money is involved.
It amazes me how much of a pop culture and cultural phenomenon Halo is but I still don't know if it can have the generational impact Star Wars did. But I suppose for a generation born after 1990, it very well could have that significance.
Like they weren't going to buy Call of Duty World at War? When will people realise, those persons voicing their displeasure on the internet are the minority; a very, very small minority.
Are you really surprised?! I'm not.
Who says Grand Turismo is the better game? Forza has a higher metascore than Grand Turismo 4, Forza 2 has a higher metascore than both Grand Turismo HD Concept and Grand Turismo 5 Prologue. To be honest, Grand Turismo as a franchise has to do more. The game has remained the same since the 3rd game in the franchise with little innovation. I've never played a Forza title but I'm really impressed with what has been shown. I really want Polyphony Digital to pull out all the stops for Grand Touris...
That's where you're wrong. The XBox brand has grown to become the most popular core gaming console in America. He didn't reference the Wii because it's a console that both parents, grandparents and children can share a social experience. Even he has one. But when it comes to the console for the hardcore gamer, the XBox has replaced the PlayStation in the cultural lexicon; at least, in America.
You're right. The XBox brand has grown in cultural significance. It's a household name. I'm surprised he didn't ask parents to make their kids stop playing Halo.
Bullshit. The install base cannot continue to be used as an excuse. There are 10 million PS3 owners in the US and less that 400K have bought Infamous since release? That's 4%. That's ridiculous. How about we just start buying the games rather than posting on video game forums.
You're right. Great point. I really wish Sony doesn't introduce a redesigned SKU and just drop the price and give the PS3 a chance to build an identity and change the perception of the console as this generation's biggest loser and whipping boy. A new Slim PS3 isn't the answer to Sony's woes. A new SKU just confuses an already dismissive consumer base. I mean, I can pick any 4 of my friends and we each own 5 different PS3 SKUs. That's ridiculous.
GOD.DAMN.EPIC!!! I'm really looking forward to this. Can't wait.
You know shocky16 hit the nail on the head in an earlier post and everyone passed over his comment. If you look at the reviews of multiplatform games on both consoles, the games on the XBox 360 usually have 10 sometimes 20 more reviews compared to the PS3 version, resulting in an average that's usually 1 or 2 points off. That's the only reason for the disparity and nothing else. Multiplatform games and closing the gap in the disparity between versions. Whatever differences wont be reflected i...
It's two freaking weeks, what's the big deal? I don't know the reason for the delay but it's only 2 God damn weeks. Definitely isn't not worthy.
To me, they're both equally irrelevant.
I'm not surprised. This generation you have to sell 2 million units just to break even with spiraling productions costs, marketing and distribution and considering the game was on a single platform, no one should be surprised. Publishers are going to continue to find more creative ways to combat the used games market. Epic did a great job by including a map pack code with new copies of Gears of War 2.
Knew it.
I would love for Lionhead to make an action adventure game. They may as well just go ahead and do it already as Fable 3 was more action adventure than RPG.
Leave it to Activision to find creative ways of charging us out the anus for crap we really don't need.
Not just the same generic story but the same generic character stereotypes and set pieces. I'm so waiting for another FPS to offer something more this gen the way Bioshock did. FPS has been the most overrated genre this gen with inflated review scores.
Yeah, it's pretty cool. I hope they have their own Madden Challenge similar to ESPN's. That would be very cool.
