I was playing a couple of nights ago. I'll probably have a go at it later.
I disagree. I think Game Informer is a great mag that has a number of great reveals. Their Max Payne reveal in this month's mag was really great.
The first 2 DLC wont be released on the PS3 but if the rumors are correct, 2 additional DLC episodes will be released to all platforms. Take-Two has stated there are still more stories to be told in the GTAIV universe.
What I want to know is, why would Take-Two/Rockstar reveal this information to Pachter and not someone in the gaming media like Andy McNamara at Game Informer?
Ah, I see the douchebag fanboys who don't read articles have already arrived.
Any list of the XBox 360's greatest games without Halo 3 is bogus. Say what you want about Halo 3 but it's one of the best games on any console. List needed a huge "IMO" in its title.
You know I forgot Star Ocean: The Last Hope was rumored to be coming to the PS3. It could very well be that.
It's probably Braid. Jonathan Blow had hinted to working on a PS3 version of the game a while ago on his blog.
To all the fangirls with their panties in a bunch over my comments, I did not watch the trailer on Gametrailers.com. I watched the trailer on GametrailersTV on Spike TV HD, channel 741 on Cablevision in New York City where I live on a 42" 1080p Samsung television and yes, there IS aliasing. There is no question that the game looks phenomenal but just like with the first, aliasing is a distraction. This has nothing to do with the game or the developers, it's most PS3 games. Textures look ...
No need to be a douche. Anyone who watched Gametrailers and claim they didn't see jaggies, have their fanboy goggles on. And I DO have a PS3.
LOL. You know, a minute or two after I posted that comment on Gametrailers, I came to N4G and there was a topic on the front page. I didn't have to copy and paste. I pretty much had that thought from the moment I started watching the cinematic.
I just watched it on Spike HD. I have a 42" 1080p Samsung and it truly did look amazing but there really needs to be another solution for aliasing in PS3 games. The jaggies were terribly distracting. Even during the cinematic there were tons of jaggies. I'm glad Naugthy Dog is one of the few developers who do not use a ton of blur to compensate for aliasing but the PS3 does need another solution.
I don't know why PS3 owners are content to wait 12, sometimes 15 months for a game to be released on their console. If I only owned a PS3, I would be very upset. By the time the game is released it has already been spoilt for me a hundred times over. Playing Bioshock 15 months later on the PS3 and having to pay the full retail price was asinine and not at all fair.
You are high or a fanboy if you think PSN is equal to or better than XBL.
I understand all that but a new SKU isn't the answer. It's a stop gap. I think a new SKY will slow sales because if you drop the price of the old SKUs, you're still selling them at a lost and if you don't drop the price and introduce a redesigned SKU at a higher price point, you don't accomplish anything.
The PS2 was released in March 2000. The PS2 slim was released in November 2004, 4 years and 8 months after the PS2 launched.
Why do you need a sequel to LittleBigPlanet? Media Molecule should use LittleBigPlanet as a platform and create new levels, stories within those levels and new tools for us to use and enjoy.
But the PS2 was on the market for a much longer period before the PS2 slimline was introduced. We're barely two and a half years into the console's lifecycle. I really don't think a slim PS3 is a very good idea. The PS3 has no identity with the mass consumer; the console itself isn't mainstream recognizable. To introduce a redesigned SKU hurts more than it helps penetration. It's confusing to the consumer.
You know it's always funny when I come online and see how much people laud Team Ico's games but Ico sold like crap and so did Shadows of the Colossus, even in Japan. I'm almost certain The Last Guardian will sell have lukewarm sales at best. What the hell is up with that?!
Oh God, not another generic shooter! And before some fanboy screams I don't own the game just say the word and I'll take a damn pic with my screen name and time and upload it. After the other day I'm sick and tired of butt hurt fanboys acting like asses anytime a criticism is leveled at a PS3 game!
