once again, buncha fanboy comments. ps2 failed all the time. i dont' know one person that had a ps2 that lasted for the full 5-6 years.
and it had a horrible dvd player that went bad or would lose sync with the audio. and yet, despite that, you all supported it and it sold HUGE.

do i have to suck at a game to not like it? i mean...not that i think it should be necessary to break down your comment. but lets just think about this for a second. If i think a game is absolutely horrible (which it is) that would mean that i've probably played it and am somewhat familiar with the game. otherwise, how could i say i don't like it? but at the same time, if i hate a game, why would i obsess over it for hours and hours as you obviously have to get good at it?

COD 2008. this game comes out more often than madden. what a lousy franchise
alone makes this a better franchise than gran tourismo. of course we won't see any results like that on n4g, cuz ps3 owners have no games to keep them busy, while most 360 owners are too busy playing there assortment of great games and odn't ahve time to wrory about what the opinions of idiot fanboys for sony are.

i'd wish to be an "analyst" so i can make SH!T up and then post it where a buncha 14 year old fan boys can rant and rave about a buncha stuff that has no factual basis.

but that's my point. the software companies should be pushing the hardware companies and eachother. not producing the same old mundane, last gen looking games that we've been getting.
there are games that push it, obviously. GRAW2, Gears of War, Bioshock, GTA 4, Uncharted, Heavenly sword. but even as good as those games look, they still don't look that much better than say....Ninja Gaiden on xbox, or Halo 2. they do look better, but not to the point of "WOW!"

Bioshock could have been it. Finaly Fantasy 7 could have been it. Starcraft, Resident Evil, GTA 3, Halo, both Half Lifes. there have been amazing games. the problem is there isn't an award show on fox or nbc each year to make non-gamers take note.

plus those games aren't really overhyped. they are talked about, but they don't dominate the headlines. it's not like halo 3, Metal Gear 4, or Gears of War. those games are OVER hyped. not that i'm saying they don't deserve their scores. just that when one game is over half the articles, then you know that it's getting too much hype.
