why is it a big deal to swap discs? if i had to choose between having to install 5+ gigs of information on my hard drive and swapping a disc, i'd choose swapping.
it takes about 10 seconds to swap a disc. metal gear has a 5 minute load between each act.
i definitely prefer having a couple discs. plus you can fit a few discs in one case. it really doesn't seem like that much of an inconvenience.

considering cod 4 is one of the worst games i've ever played (since it's EXACTLY the same game as cod 2 and 3), i'd say that's not much of an accomplishment.
best console MP game is Gears of War. more people have played that game since it's released than any other console game. even after halo 3 and cod 4 became week old boring games, GoW was still being played by tons of people. it's about 20 months old and it's still in the top 5-6 on xbox live. beating rock band.

i looked at both lists (360 and ps3). anyone notice that both of them had different multiplatform games on it? for 360 it was endwar, for ps3
it was RE 5, rock band, and guitar hero.
these lists should be exclusives only. who cares about the games if they are multiplatform? you can have them regardless of the system you own...
anyway, there are a lot of other games i look forward to that weren't even on there. like the force unleashed for example.

til i played it. it is a good game, and i do enjoy it (on act 3). but it's definitely not anything GREAT. the button mechanics are way off if you ask me. and having to basically pause the game and bring up a menu just to switch to night vision doesn't make any sense when that D pad goes basically unused.
also...the graphics only look that good cuz there's hardly any color, and the colors they use make it look better. I'd say it looks just slightly better than the last splint...
well, actually i'd say you are missing quite a few points. for one thing, playstation 2 destroyed xbox in terms of sales and software support. maybe 10-20 million ppl had xbox, probably close to 100 mil had a ps2. and the dev kits already exist so nobody has to pay more money to develop for ps2. now the ps3...has a much weaker install base. so the developers realize that while maybe 10 million ps2 owners now have ps3, still about 90 million just have ps2...or got a 360 (which is likely to...

EVERY person i know that owned a ps2, was on their 2nd or 3rd. there is no exception to that rule. i had one, sold it, it broke in about a year...and the movie playback went bad in about 3 months. a good friend of mine who was obsessed with sony told me he was on his 5th system.

but console life is 5 years. 6 year span is one extra year. sony said ps3 was a "10 year plan" umm...yeah that meant that the same way they meant it for ps2. they assumed ppl would still buy it and some companies would still make games for it. but there is no WAY i want the same graphics, physics, etc for 10 years. i want improvement. 5 years is a good span. i'm a little disappointed they are taking an extra year.
and who are you to decide the price point will be too high? ps3 was the over priced console, not 360. 360 was 300 and 400 dollars. ps3 was 500 and 600.

besides. while Jurassic park, die hard, and the FIRST matrix were good flix, cloverfield is complete crap. it's just a godzilla rip off but filmed like blair witch project. wow...very original. i liked the part where there was like...a monster...and people like...died. that was intense. good story telling.
