Interesting how this game has been out in Europe since June, but it was't until it released in the US that someone had to complain about this. What does this tell me?
Are we supposed to be impressed? PS3 and 360 is 6 years old tech.
I think the battle system in 13 was great. While I very much enjoyed FF7 back in the days, it was not because of its battle system. It was slow and Attack was the best option 95% of the time. In other words, pretty much like Auto-Battle in 13 except 7 had no paradigm shift. 7's system was also way too simple for my tastes, even though I were only half the age I am now.
13's system actually has quite some depth to it; much more than what is apparent by just watching ...
Don't forget that both Sony and MS earn more per console sold in Europe and Japan compared to in the US. Simply because the price is higher. The dollar is weak and US is generally in a bad shape economically.
Because statistics say that games without DRM gets pirated even more. When the choice is between piracy and even more piracy, it's easy to understand why they bother.
The WiiU Zelda tech demo ran at 720p with no AA. It that really something to get exited about? Nothing "next gen" about it.

While it might be addicting to some, it wasn't for me. I played it until last year just because it was a great social game. I'd quit long before that if it wasn't for the guild and the stuff we did together.
Also, the end game PvE is better and updated more often than any other MMO. Only like 5% of all players have the time to do it all before new stuff comes out.
How is this news? Everything is more expensive in Europe.
I'm playing the US version of Catherine on my PS3 right now. I also got the US version of Demon's Souls long before the EU release.

Realistic is boring. I want rocket launchers, railguns and all kinds of powerups. Quake 3 is still more fun than any modern shooter.
"It’s essential to build anticipation for a game."
No it's not. I stopped reading there.
But do you really think that's going to be a problem?
Let's say you want to play an old Amiga game now. What do you do? Do you fire up your Amiga or do you fire up an emulator?
Or if you just want to play some old PC game. Do you install DOS on some old computer or simply fire up DOSBox?
You probably don't even have your old consoles/computers anymore. Atari, Amiga, Commodore 64, DOS? I had all of those, now I don't. Do ...
You can simply import from Europe. It's been out since early June here. And it's awesome :D
On second thought, perhaps that's a bad idea when it comes to the online mode.
You call something a failure because _you_ don't like it? In that case, you are a failure, because I don't like you. See how flawed that logic is?
Panasonic plasmas are the best 3DTVs right now.
Price is a valid complaint, but you forget that shutter glasses give a better 3D effect than passive glasses. Personally, if I'm going to get a 3DTV, I'm not going to get the second best thing.
I think most europeans know that, but that doesn't explain why they don't complain about the prices, yet americans constantly do.
All the price whine articles have been from the US, the place in the world with the cheapest games... I guess your economy really is fucked up.
Clear proof right here that Nintendo fanboys are the worst.
Yes, you have to buy the game, but there is no monthly subscription.
What FPS is considered "running" in this context? Please don't say 30.
