At least the quests are very MMO-like: Deliver something, kill something or talk to someone. Infact, the quests in World of Warcraft (after the Cataclysm) are overall much more varied and interesting than those in Skyrim.
This has absolutely nothing to do with online pass.
Are you kidding? First of all, all console shooters are slow paced. Secondly, when it comes to aiming quickly and accurately the controller is the worst input device. The mouse is obviously by far the best while the Move is somewhere in the middle. The reason controllers do the job just just fine is _because_ console shooters are slow paced.
You obviously weren't a gamer in the days of Quake, which is a truly fast paced game.
So what are you really saying? Are you saying 30 fps can be both smooth and not smooth to your eyes depending on the game? If so, can you explain why that is?
Movies run at 24fps _and_ and have proper motion blur. You won't get any cinematic feeling by just having low fps and no (or crappy) motion blur.
While it's true some games don't require 60 fps for optimal gameplay (and I agree that L.A. Noire is one of them), it's still very disappointing that a PC game is locked at such a low fps.
However, saying 30 fps is smooth says something about your perception.
If you understood everything about the battle system getting 5 stars wasn't very hard. Unfortunately the tutorials didn't do a good job of explaining it in detail. On my second playthrough I got 5 stars pretty much 100% of the time.
Another indication that the image in the article is wrong:

I took this screenshot from their flashsite at http://www.finalfantasy13-2...
On this picture it doesn't stretch out of the box:

The image is from the same official site.
Even if it is just for hits, if we ignore the score at the bottom the review is actually very well written.
Yes, it is subjective, but I've come to realize that all the best reviews tend to be just that. I'm glad I got to read his critical opinion.
And getting upset about something like this is just weak. If you love the game, why should anyone elses opinion matter to you?
I believe I've seen a shot of Serah riding a light blue chocobo. It was not in a race.
You are wrong. Didn't read the article did you?
The core audience does not play WoW because of its lore, and thus won't care much. It's the gameplay, all the features and the continuos addition of new content that keep all the players playing. I actually believe the average WoW player welcomes the lighter atmosphere after 3 expansions of "the end of the world". I consider noone posting on this site an average WoW player.
You can save stuff like that for the 2nd playthrough. Figuring out stuff on your own the first time is a part of the great experience.
@TopDudeMan
That's simply not true.
FF7 had plenty sidequests which were only accessible on one disc. Basically, after having progressed a certain amount in the main quest you couldn't go back and do those sidequests. For completionists, this is a nightmare.
It also made the world of FF7 less open than it could have been. There are countless areas which are used only once and can't be reached on a later disc.
I don't know Russian, but the names just might be the same. The Russians just use another alphabet.
No caps from any ISP in Scandinavia as far as I know. It's not even a topic here in Norway.
It's relative. The 'Good old days' will always be whenever you were a teen. Most people reject change and that's probably why it feels like that.
Some norse (Norwegian/Swedish) influence in japanese games is not that uncommon. Of the most known games are Varkyrie Profile, Odin Sphere, Xenogears and Tales of Symphonia.
So is there a mod to get rid of the extremely annoying equip limit? I'm asking because I want it.
