Huh...I honestly didn't expect this kind of reception for Beyond from Giant Bomb. I'm not saying it's right or wrong; I just didn't expect it.
The Steam Box is a interesting idea in concept, but Valve hasn't shown us much that we can't already find on your normal gaming PC. This use of "SteamOS nativity" is the part that I'm most curious about, but aside from that and the Steam Controller, I'm simply not seeing too many reasons to buy a Steam Box instead of a regular PC. Maybe they'll show us more later down the line, but people are already paying attention to Sony and Microsoft, so getting attention aw...
It really was a fad. Wii Sports was a fun diversion, but no one really wants to deal with motion controls anymore. They've learned how imprecise the motions are and how weakly the controls are integrated into the games. They're just tacked-on, auxiliary distractions that no one wants to use anymore.
That makes it all the more surprising that Microsoft is STILL trying to push Kinect this hard, especially after all the criticism that practically EVERYONE has given them ...
"Inaccurate" implies that the review is "wrong," which is incorrect in and of itself. It's an opinion.
I will agree that the reviews never seem consistent on Gamespot. The reviewers don't follow much of a pattern, so it's difficult to know their specific tastes in games. One game like Rayman Legends is too difficult for them, another like Dark Souls is too easy. It's tough to relate when the preferences are scattered all over the place, eve...
I just pictured Magikarp using Splash against Krillin, instantly killing him.
I guess they're just regular monsters then.
Yeah, Japan LOVES Oreimo and has loved it for years. This really isn't something that should be met with such shock.
But they do. Every Call of Duty server has a bunch of twelve-year-old racists on it.
Wait, Nintendo actually gets third-party support like Monster Hunter and you say that they're "stealing" it? That is the craziest logic I've ever heard.
Besides, the DS did great because it had great games and lots of them. Take your anti-Nintendo tin foil hat off for a second and think about how ridiculous you sound right now.
I agree. Valve would be downright foolish to trademark another game after the Half-Life 3 banter earlier this week.
While I can't say Valve will cave, it does make sense that raising the hype level will theoretically induce some sort of pressure on Valve to drop some hints, but this is Valve. I don't expect their unwritten code of secrecy to be broken so easily.
I guess only time will tell if this "trademark" really means something in the lo...
If this was just a hoax planted by Valve, it doesn't make sense. This news nearly eclipsed their other three announcements; everyone was talking about the Half-Life 3 trademark more than the Steam machines.
Why make a fake news story that gets more attention than the real news stories?
Wow, I didn't expect this. Not sure how taking the comedy direction will work with this. I know Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was a comedy, but it didn't focus on the Sonic universe much. It was more just a slapstick kids cartoon with Sonic, Tails and Robotnik (albeit a very entertaining cartoon).
Cartoon Network needs to fix themselves up badly. Regular Show and Adventure Time can't sustain the channel forever and I'm not too sure if Sonic Boom will be rec...
Sorry, Valve: you can't hide that one. The internet never forgets, especially when Half-Life 3 is involved.
I'm bummed that DKC: Tropical Freeze got delayed. The Wii U's 2014 might be looking incredible, but 2013 is gonna be a tough one. Good thing Super Mario 3D World is looking like a fun time and Sonic: Lost World looks great too.
He's fine; he's just still getting used to not having that intrusive implant G4 stuck in his skull.
Agreed. Let's Plays are great and all, especially the ones from Rooster Teeth, but this is a gaming news portal. Can't say these belong here.
I wish there was more study for video games and not just ignorantly seeing if GTA causes real-world violence. We need a way to understand the broader picture: how do games affect us on the big picture, or better yet, what makes a game have the potential to do that in the first place?
What about Skyrim makes a gamer involved, immersed and drawn to play further?
What about Bioshock makes that political and artistic commentary so valuable and easy to see?
Wow, those benchmarks...that's really sad. Save your gaming grand on a PC with some guts, folks.
That's incredibly inspirational. A gamer in life and a gamer in death, with a memorial capturing that.
Yeah. I think that "not for everyone" quality is what gives the game a unique identity, and uniqueness is something that the industry sorely needs these days.
