And you get disagrees because you clearly don't know what's going on in the comment you replied to.
That's not logical criticism. He's saying that the eShop is for iOS-level content, aka it's bad. It's a condemnation, not a criticism.
I wonder how TheJWittz feels about being featured by Kotaku.
Well, they did end up RESPONDING, as opposed to REFUTING.
Dark isn't, unless you like broken stealth mechanics and terrible presentation.
Wow, what a horrible list. This guy really put the NeoGeo above the original NES. And no Dreamcast...?
Well, price is definitely an advantage and Nintendo does have access to the multi-platform games the article spoke of.
However, this whole argument of stupid parents buying a Wii U for their kids to play those multi-platform games is problematic. If a parent is as oblivious as the article says, they won't be able to distinguish between a Wii U and a Wii. They'll think it's an expansion to the Wii and pass on it.
I honestly don't know for sure ...
They're treating this HD remake as if it was a brand-new game in the series. The preview tagline alone is a good enough reason to just not click this article.
God, we get it. These games have a very unlikely chance of being on Wii U. Everything said in this article is stuff we already know or can deduce from past articles throughout the internet.
What's the point of just rubbing this in all of our faces?
It doesn't matter if the game is a "toy" or a piece of "art." What matters is if you actually enjoy playing the game. Toys can be bad, as can be art.
It's not like giving a game the label of "artistic" instantly makes the game good.
Yeah, but as gamers, we celebrate National Video Game Day every day. ;)
Dude, you've posted that same vlog from your Youtube channel on every N4G submission involving this issue. Give it a rest.
OT: It'd be very odd to see Sony not do this, so the fact that Yoshida is addressing it shows that it is a legitimate concern to them. That's a good sign of good news.
Yeah, that's a good point. This isn't like a mascot or even a Kevin Butler-esque spokesman. It's an actual employee.
It was funny as a joke for a while, but seeing how so many people are with this petition, I'm starting to think if the fans are even considering the consequences if this actually happens.
This doesn't just apply to that. Think of all the big video game websites and online channels that use gameplay footage in their content. That means no in-game footage from Playstation 4 games can be captured and put on Youtube. At all. From anyone.
Of course, this isn't confirmed yet. This PS4-Youtube issue could be a misunderstanding altogether. However, either way, this affects more people than you think.
This argument isn't limited to Nintendo; it's more a criticism of today's industry in general. A lot of companies do this. Look at Ubisoft; I just played Assassin's Creed: Revelations today and the little help prompts detailing how to make a three-hit combo pop up ALL the time.
Also, Donkey Kong Country Returns was incredibly difficult on its own (look at the rocketbarrel or minecart levels alone). I think this "other side of the equation" the author...
Until the publishing conglomerates see these self-publishing developers making games that sell millions of copies, they won't feel threatened.
However, we are seeing more creativity and innovation in the indie scene, something the big publishers should note. I think these indie developers are doing more for the industry than EA and Activision are giving them credit for. Besides, the indies have made a big splash this generation. Hopefully the upcoming one will offer even ...
This entire story was sarcasm. Talk about unprofessional, man...
I loved this game and I'd be hard-pressed to find a game that felt as open-ended and freedom-packed as this one did this year. However, I do understand the author's criticisms. They are issues, though they are issues ingrained in the concept of a virtual world instead of the gameplay itself.
All things considered though, by offering so many options and such a fun traversal method, Saints Row IV truly made a sandbox game, the gaming representation of having options and...
Absolutely. This is no confirmation of 1000+ indie games coming to Wii U in the near future and definitely not 1000+ amazing, GOTY-nominated ones. However, this shows that Nintendo is at least making it easy to develop for Wii U, which is a massive improvement over WiiWare.
I'm especially excited about the new game from Chris Seavor (creator of Conker's Bad Fur Day) which will be a Wii U eShop exclusive. That's the kind of promising exclusive pedigree that could g...
In regard to your second comment,
Saying Sony has had "decent indie dev history" is a very harsh understatement. Many of the best indie games of this generation like Journey appeared on PS3 exclusively.
Second, 360 may have laid the ground work for indies, but Microsoft ruined it with low update frequency and high costs for patches. Sony and Nintendo let indies update whenever they want for very reasonable prices. If anything, Microsoft is the least...
That's not why they're angry. They're angry because Carolyn is supposedly bringing political and social views into the critique, making it even more subjective.
I do think that if the point was important enough to be noted in the cons section, it could've been articulated in the review text better. However, regardless of Carolyn's verdict, that in no way justifies the disgusting amount of hate in the review's comments and on the (former) petition's...
