Does this mean that Microsoft should get out of the tablet and phone businesses and Sony should get out of the handheld business?
No?
Okay, then. Nintendo stays in the console business.
That's perfectly fine by me. I just think the article is criticizing the franchise as a whole, like Sonic Team has been trying for years to make an amazing post-Dreamcast Sonic game and had zero successes, which in my opinion, is untrue.
How is Sonic a "lost cause"? Generations and Colors were both incredible and showed that you can make a great Sonic game in a post-Dreamcast world. A lost cause implies no way to salvage the good features, but Generations and Colors were packed with great design choices, so the entire lost cause argument doesn't work here.
The original Sega Genesis game had some incredibly expressive graphic design behind its gross-out aesthetic. An HD upgrade would definitely be something worth keeping an eye on.
How the Kickstarter community receives this news is still up in the air, though...
I guess this regards to the pre-order deals, which the retailers are saying that they will be fulfilled with either another game or a delayed release of Watch_Dogs. But there are, in fact, other PS4 launch games, some of them are...exclusive.
Also, could the author have used a more one-sided headline?
I assume you mean in the wild randomly, because if you played Gold and Silver, I'm pretty sure you had to see one at the Lake of Rage to progress.
There's a big difference between average consumers not knowing the difference between a Wii and Wii U from ads and a salesperson who isn't educated enough in their field to relay accurate information about something they're trying to sell.
I agree. It's kind of uncreative to address the impending reception to your review instead of just critiquing the game itself. It's also a bit egotistic.
Is this worth switching from 1st gen Vita to 2nd gen? No, but every little bit of consumer ease of play is appreciated. I really wish more companies would consider doing this.
I agree: there is definitely a difference between what a narrative presents and how a narrative presents.
While I haven't played Beyond: Two Souls myself just yet, I'm kind of on the fence to give it a shot. I hate QTE's and find them more distracting to an engaging story than contributory, but I am a fan of films like Memento that skew chronological continuity with their storytelling. From what I've read, Beyond does that a lot, so I might give it a go.
There are many, MANY reasons why it's not Left 4 Dead 3, one of which is that Valve is not at all pleased with Microsoft these days.
"Beyond: Two Souls’ story is a clichéd, nonsensical, boring mess that will make you cringe."
This is the first review I've read of Beyond: Two Souls that says this. A huge majority of the reception I've heard say that the story is very original and creative and is the best part all around, with much of the criticism coming from the gameplay. Kinda hard to take this review seriously, in that respect.
It's interesting that this story came up shortly after news broke of the Dreamworks CEO being willing to pay a huge sum of money just for three more episodes of Breaking Bad. (Fortunately, that deal never went through. Thank God.)
I actually thought the end of the Futurama movies made it work, especially The Wild Green Yonder. After that, you could tell it was very hard for the writers to make the whole thing logically fit into its own continuity. And that's the probl...
The entire Futurama story just seems so uneven because every new season is treated as if it was the last one. It's so disorienting and I don't know how it can continue at this point. It just seems so completely unnecessary and violently pushed forward.
I dunno. I just feel like Microsoft has a nasty tendency to bring things back to life that simply should be left to rest in peace...like Halo.
And with your last sentence, I agree. Family Guy and Americ...
This may be an unpopular opinion, but can't we just let Futurama end on a note that feels comfortable, conclusive and respectful instead of prying the door off its locked vault?
It's okay to have a show end, everyone; it's not some cardinal sin to have a show with less than 150 episodes. Besides, Futurama has had a rough history after being cancelled by multiple networks and dealing with contracts and the sort.
I say let it end. Renewing or revivi...
Are there a bunch of Kinects recording all of this?
Probably the character in the story's thumbnail, but don't quote me on that.
What makes this game "a flop"? I'm not joking; I really want to hear your explanation.
Free? No. Inexpensive? Yes.
The animation in the Genesis Boogerman was really, really good back in the day, so an HD version could have the technically proficient cartoony style of a Rayman Legends...
...only with lots more snot...but HD snot!
