I think the networks are just a more reliable way to avoid copyright problems. TotalBiscuit had a nasty run-in with a copyright claim, but he had credentials, but for a new start-up channel, copyright can be a big problem. In a way, it can also discourage and scare away fresh talent from appearing on Youtube.
Of course, this is not a constant fact. If you yourself haven't had issue with copyright even when not on a network, that's really good. I do know that a lot of ...
After all these modern-era shooters, for a second, I wanted to just play a World War II shooter again.
AnyONE? Clever.
Dude, chill.
Firstly, you're using Metacritic specifically. Even though they're "wrong", you're giving credibility to the same type of people who you are clearly against by citing their opinions in your explanation. Metacritic is traffic-based, not quality-based. Not every one of those sites is worth your time, trust me. There are Youtube channels who could tear publications like Game Informer a new one any day of the week when it comes to expressing a r...
I don't know what you're talking about, pal. This game is really good. The game's networking features are miles ahead of Black/White, so it's anything but a "remake."
And unless you're talking about something like Night Trap or that garbage on XBLIG, I think you meant "real-time", not "live-action."
"Near-identical"? Sorry, after playing this game for only a few hours, I simply cannot agree with that.
Of course I know the difference, but I've read many reviews of this game and these "most others" you're talking about aren't as "factually incorrect" as you claim, even if this one is.
I'm not defending the publishing of inaccurate information and using it to support a review verdict, but it's sad how a handful of poorly constructed reviews can make people provide blanket statements of how miserable the gaming press world is and vilify ...
Aside from the rather severe delays regarding studio changes or simply starting again from scratch, I haven't seen too many cases where games are ultimately worse because of the delays.
I do think, however, that depending on how or when the delay occurs, a delay can result in a difference in sales, publicity or exposure. Rayman Legends is a clear example of how to wreck sales with a delay, but I think Watch_Dogs will fare better, since it won't be competing in such a ...
Dude, it's one thing to disagree with a review. It's another to call it "a lie" when it is someone's opinion by definition.
Would it have been good to have? Yes, but I don't expect the game to be worse without it.
Brotherhood was where the series peaked for me. A single enormous city to explore and tons of side-quests helped me sink dozens of hours into the campaign.
After that, the yearly installments began to drag on. It's not a dead series by any means, but a little more inspiration could do wonders for it.
First off, why in the world should Nintendo focus MORE on handhelds? That market is theirs and no other gaming company is taking it away from them anytime soon. They don't need to invest even more resources into a market that they dominate when the market they need to support, the console market, is showing such weakness for them.
Second, scrapping a console would alienate everyone who already has a Wii U and then some. There's no confidence in that gesture for either...
Absolutely: the name is a big problem. Consumers are confused about it and employees of stores like Best Buy have been cited as calling the Wii and Wii U "the same." While I'm not saying that those employees are innocent (they should fully research the products they're trying to sell), the Wii U name is a big issue in the marketing department. It does not sound like the name of a successor, especially to the average consumer.
If not a brand new name, Nintend...
You do realize how awesome that game would be, right?
There are, but I've heard more negative reception of this game than positive. Still, not enough to scare me away from giving it a try later this month.
Using the word "overrated" in your article is a really easy way to drain an article of maturity.
I will agree that Sonic Colors was a really great game, but speed is really what gives Sonic his own identity. Speed has always been what separated Sonic games from Mario games. Generations was able to take the series' signature pace and make it functional and rather creative at times.
It could've been much longer and the final boss was really bad, but Generations captured that high-speed intensity that Sonic Adventure had.
In my opinion, Generations ...
For a series that bases its appeal on fluid, streamlined and momentum-driven gameplay and level design, an open-world Sonic game would be absolutely terrible.
While I'm disappointed that it got delayed (would've been a great game to try the PS4 out with), I highly doubt the delay will make the game WORSE. All things considered, getting it out from that "GTA V zone" can't hurt too much in terms of publicity and sales.
As for Pachter, this is easily his most ridiculously obvious "prediction" I've heard from the guy. He either predicts something everyone has already known for months or he predicts s...
If there's one thing that all gamers (regardless of gender) can agree on, it's that Gamestop is a really crappy company.
