The problem is if you let everyone know that it's satire with a label like that, it's not good satire. The art of satire is the subtle idea that you're not sure if it's real or not until you actually read it yourself. That's why Colbert was so successful.
It's like the old saying "any joke you need to explain is a bad joke."
Well, I certainly didn't see this coming.
Forbes doesn't understand how early adoption works, regardless of what system or company it is. Hell, they don't understand gaming in general.
They're not. Many of them left after Microsoft canned the true Banjo-Threeie. Now they're making indie games for digital download services.
Rare's a shell of their former selves now. Kinect or not, they're nowhere near the level of N64-era Rare. Not even remotely close.
Indie games are filling the gap that B games left behind. Huge AAA budgets killed off B games, so now it's up to the indie devs to make inexpensive, but interesting and creative games between major releases. Sony knows that.
I wouldn't say it "hurt" the franchise, but I still had much more fun with Infamous 2 than Second Son.
"Smosh used to be funny."
I'd say they were never funny, but that's just me.
Aside from the terrible rear touch pad, I have no complaints with the Vita from a hardware perspective.
The two markets that are actually caring about the Vita are indies and Japanese series. If you don't like those, the Vita isn't going to hold your interest at all. I personally like those games, especially the Japanese games like Soul Sacrifice, but I don't represent the majority. The majority find the Vita library to be quite lackluster.
I highly doubt the system is going to turn around, especially with Sony making no effort to put quality exclusives on the syste...
3D platformers today aren't like 3D platformers from the N64 era. Super Mario Galaxy is essentially a 2D platformer disguised as a 3D platformer.
The exploration isn't as open-ended as, say, Banjo-Kazooie or even Super Mario Sunshine. There's only one way to complete a level and there's very little room for deviating from that path. Sure, you can run across a 3D plane, but compared to Mario 64, Galaxy is extremely linear.
If there was a 3D pla...
Nah, Microsoft's never come across as a company tuned for handhelds. Their games aren't digestible in the same way a handheld game is.
It's pretty sad how gamers have yet to get over the same console war mentality that everyone pitched during the 16-bit days on the school playground.
It's the exact same deal as the Genesis vs. SNES argument we all heard as kids, but thanks to the internet, only now it's louder and we see it even more.
Why in the world is he flip-flopping so much? Right when people were actually starting to burn out on Flappy Bird since the guy claimed it was over, we hear this.
Is it just me or did those tweets reporting a life-threatening health event sound rather casual considering the circumstances?
Apparently he's doing better now, though. He's reporting recovery situations and hasn't lost mobility. Wishing him a fast and efficient recovery.
They didn't ditch the Kinect. You can still buy a system with it. Ditching implies discontinuation.

I understand that Nintendo has been overdoing it with the New Super Mario Bros. series and other similar routinely released series, but Mario Kart 8 is not a game I'd say fits that mold.
Compared to the Wii Mario Kart, Mario Kart 8 looks like a tremendous step forward, both visually and gameplay-wise And just because there are eight in the series, that doesn't mean it's being rehashed to absurdity. Final Fantasy has 14, going on 15 ...

I understand what you're saying, don't worry, but Microsoft's record against Playstation really doesn't mean much here. The Xbox One does have quite a bit of negative press going on, that's clear as day, but then again, so did the PS3 at launch.
That system got murdered by public opinion from consumers and the press alike, just like the Xbox One was getting after the always-online deal was announced. Both the PS3 and Xbox One ...
Man, patent trolls are the worst.
Think of the Zelda CD-i cutscenes...but in HD.
This. Fool me once...
