I skipped the Wii Animal Crossing, but I really did like Wild World on the DS. Sounds like the social element isn't as fleshed out as hoped, at least from the reviewer's standpoint.
I might give this a shot.
"...the dumbest move in recent history..."
You really didn't see that Xbox One reveal now, did you?
Not everyone can be at E3. I sure as hell can't, so being able to play some big, upcoming Nintendo Wii U games in Best Buy is a pretty sweet deal, all things considered.
Also, you wasted your three permitted comments on saying something that quite a few people have said since the announcement of no major E3 press conference fr...
Wow, you've never played a Zelda game before? Hmmm...
Well, to answer your question, most of them are individual stories. Some like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are directly connected in the timeline, but mostly, they're separated.
There is a lengthy and intricate explanation of the chronological history, but...it's pretty thick.
Look, mods are great, but they don't MAKE a game like Zelda or Skyrim. Zelda and Skyrim are both fantastic games on their own; they don't vitally NEED mods. Mods are simply complementary ideas that work pretty well in practice.
This article seems to imply that mods will make Zelda "great" again. Can't agree with that, sorry.
Yeah, I read the headline and had no idea what they were talking about.
Super Mario Bros. was one of those "so freakin' terrible that it's actually kind of a classic" films.
Can't tell if this article is worth any serious merit, but thankfully, we shouldn't have to speculate too much longer with the next Smash Bros.
The Kinect shouldn't be required. It should be optional and you should be able to use your console without it. I'm really sick of Kinect and I'm not the only one, I'm sure.
Consumers shouldn't have to spend more money on a peripheral that will be under-utilized and/or ignored by many developers. If Microsoft just ignored this Kinect garbage, the Xbox One could probably be released at a generally competitive price point, but no. This expensive and potential...
What bothers me is that Sony, Nintendo and Valve are all offering great and simple opportunities for independent devs on their digital services. That kind of accessibility seems like something that should be standard now, especially after all of the positive attention the indie scene has received over the last few years.
I mean, many of the indie devs who originally made XBLA games have jumped ship from Microsoft and the negative reception of this news from the indies on Twit...
The multiplayer in the original Conker's Bad Fur Day was much, MUCH better than the multiplayer in Live and Reloaded.
It's not cool to hate. The gaming audience wants to like this console, but Microsoft's online policies, overuse of non-game media, unappealing motion controls, used game fees, un-removable hard drive, poor first impressions, and the fact that they aren't addressing any of the important questions directly are all making it really, really, REALLY hard to like this device.
Best story ever, IGN...
...said no one ever.
You're not going to make many friends here by saying things like that, you know...
Everyone who had a hand in making those amazing Rare games like Killer Instinct, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjo-Kazooie, Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark, none of them work at Rare anymore. They're pursuing projects that gamers actually care about.
I'm much more interested in the "spiritual successor to Banjo-Tooie" Kickstarter than whatever this husk of a company puts out for this already poorly received system.
To save everyone the time and to spare this page the undeserved click traffic, here's what Larry said:
Absolutely nothing we didn't already know.
Wait, you mean Microsoft said that? I don't know of any talking Xbox's who agree to being interviewed.
Kojima must have something big planned for next-gen. His already creepy, alienlike grin was even creepier during that 2 second clip.
Maybe if you offered full backwards compatibility on the 360 instead of a handful of Xbox titles that were poorly emulated on 360 hardware, then maybe your stats would be different, eh Don?
Adam is a great guy and he's very educated in what he does, but I was actually pretty surprised to see him almost justifying many of the Xbox One's features after the conference.
With all of the things that the online community was so disappointed with, Adam seemed almost optimistic on them. I don't think he's taking sides and yes, E3 will be a major force in making up a lot of consumers' minds on which system to buy this holiday. I'm just confused as ...
It's definitely admirable, and I personally would like to see more gaming journalism outlets do that, but considering that many of their audience's purchases depend on something concrete like a numerical score, it probably won't happen.
However, yeah, I agree. It's apparently a big game so giving it a score sort of implies that you can judge it since you've supposedly seen everything it has to offer (which probably didn't happen). Smart move for GameXp...
