Does anyone really think bringing an FPS to iOS is really a good idea? I mean, why port a shooter to devices that have barely any tactile input? Shooters should be on devices that have buttons and directional inputs, not ones with only touch screens.
It's a total pain to play a first-person shooter on a system with no buttons. And forget that "buy a controller for your mobile device" crap. No one should have to pay an extra $30 for a controller adapter.

Can't really blame them, though. This seems to be the consistent attitude toward Microsoft from the independent developer community. It would be a real shock to see Microsoft win back the indies this gen. Aside from a few exceptions like Ska Studios, the indie community has migrated far away from Microsoft.

We get it. The Wii U is struggling, but man, this whole "Nintendo's Dreamcast" argument is getting really old. The only thing older than that is the "go third-party, Nintendo" argument, which has been around since the N64 era. I think we know who needs to move on, and it sure as hell isn't Nintendo.
Just a curious question: could an Oddworld remake signify a brand new Oddworld game for PS4/PC/WiiU? That would be especially good, and another great reason to check out the HD remake.
You clearly did not watch any of the E3 coverage, because you would've seen that Nintendo was there and showed off some pretty cool stuff on the show floor.

Maybe Smash Kart would work if it used the transforming vehicle element of Mario Kart and Sonic All-Stars Transformed. Think about driving a Mario Kart, then launching off a ramp and having the kart transform into a StarFox Arwing. On water, try boats from Wind Waker.
There are so many diverse franchises in Nintendo's library, so I honestly don't see any serious downsides in using more than just the Mario franchise.
This isn't only about monetary value. Value is not intrinsically something tied to the price of the components used to make the product alone.
The fact that you're essentially losing a huge chunk of a major market (the used games market) and also showing significant dependence on Microsoft online servers AND internet providers still stands.
You may be getting a lot of products in the package, but that's not the only thing value is.
Bayonetta 2 looks just as over-the-top and crazy fun as the first. If you don't want to buy a Wii U for it, then don't. It's your decision, but it looks fun to me and many other people.
But stop blaming Nintendo and Platinum Games for the Wii U exclusivity. If anything, blame Sony or Microsoft for NOT publishing the sequel.
