Days Gone and monster hunter should both be a lot higher.
The complexity of an e-commerce website not being able to do a simple address check is vastly exaggerated. It would be less than a days work for a competant web developer to limit sales to 1 per address and set up an address check that would stop a customer purchasing a PS5 if they've already had one delivered to them.
The 2 issues are:
1) Every time a 1 per address limit is mentioned, it doesnt go down too well with some people because they dont understand tha...
What the year holds for PlayStation?
Millions in lost software sales because consoles are with the scalpers instead of real customers.
If a significant number of customers find a product unsatisfactory for the same reason, that is not unfair in any way whatsoever to the manufacturer of the product. It just means that the product isn't good enough and needs to be fixed or refunded.
Tbh, buying the console for more than RRP then selling it for a profit isn't anywhere near as bad as an official retailer being allowed to let customers walk away with more than 1 console each.
@ thornintheside
Yeah I do that too because its intended for families.
I'm talking about sharing games with anyone. You can do that with a disc but not a digital license because you wouldn't put your account as a primary user on some random guys PS4.
Imagine being in line for a PS5 and then be told that they've all sold out as you watch every customer before you walk past with 2 consoles each.
Greedy fuckers.
But it takes twice as long to get one if every shop keeps giving each customer 2 each.
Luckily for Sony most consumers look at the end product rather than whether the staff are good at talking the talk or not.
'Game sharing' has never been allowed and is against the rules for an overwhelming majority of digital goods.
We already had this debate at the beginning of the last generation and this is how it ended:

The ugly reality of digital goods and services is that you'll never come close to 'owning' them.
I hope its the ones who keep having a go at PS Now users when they complain about paying twice for the same games.
They should develop it for android and ios because by the time it comes out phones will be powerful enough to run it.
Dont forget Dua Lipa!
Its only because they they make more money from ultimate gambling mode than they do selling the actual game.
And that's why Sony should have emailed PlayStation users to let them secure one console before it was offered to the scalpers and people who only want one because its trending on social media. The orders would be fulfilled by retail partners local to the customers provided address, so everyone would be happy.
@ ClayRules2012
In a 1 system per person rule you would have still been able to get one for your son and your fiance would have been able to order one for her and you to share.
If you want to eradicate scalping, its a far more effective way. A 2 per person system wont even come close to solving the problem.
Nah, should be 1 console per person.
Its not fair that someone who has played playstation every day of their lives for 20 years doesn't get one because someone else wanted an extra one for the bedroom, or to gift to their 5 year old.
They should ask for a refund 😂
I was going to report the ebay ones but their price gouging policy only applies to 'essential' products.
"Items that are considered essential must be offered at a reasonable price".
I'll be avoiding eBay whenever I can.
