Yeah when Sony is in the lead they spend the money to innovate... and they were doing that even when they were not in the lead with the PS3.
The day MS gets a good lead, all they will splash cash on is making sure third party games dont appear on other systems and crap we dont want like TV bullshit and kinect.

I have no doubt theres PC gamers running games above 1080p, and even at 4k, or even higher using multiple monitors, but I also dont see why its hard to accept that MOST people DONT do that.

Yes its true not everyone wants to, but on PC you dont have the option to.
As for sacrificing, I keep the games which I like but most games I play and sell because I dont find them special, and I know I would be able to buy them again if I ever wanted to. I care about sacrifices more than you do which is why you settle for a digital library but I dont.
50% is a nice discount but if I really wanted a discount on digital games, I could get 60% ...
But the humble bundle is considered the best value, but most of the time the games you get for paying the average still pale in comparison to PS+.
I'll admit though that recently PS+ has been a little weak.
As for games on launch, you might save about £10-£15 on PC, but the resell value is next to nothing. On consoles you can still get good value for new games. As for slightly older games, you can often resell them for as much as you buy them for by sell...
The problem is that most of those games suck, and a lot of them are just expansions.
The list of PS exclusives since 2000 might be shorter, but theres definately more quality.
You might say theres been 3 PS systems out since 2000, but I'd say I've still spent less on playstations since 2000 than you have on PC's since 2000.
