Because not enough people write to their local MPs about it.
In the UK you generally get a reply when you write to your local MP about an issue. At the very least you will find out their stance on the matter in more detail and whether you should vote for them next time.
Apart from the battery life its a big improvement on the PS4 controller in every way. Totally worth it at this price.
Nah, theres already enough devs who think its ok to release buggy/broken/unfinished/awful/ MTX filled games on day 1 then try to convince people that they should still buy it because its going to get better over time. No thanks!
Jeez, I cant believe people still arent getting it. Let me try again...
A footballer makes his debut as a substitute in the last 10 minutes of a match and scores two goals. His minutes per goal stat is 5. Does that make him better than a footballer who has played for 5 years and scored 25 goals every season, but has a minutes per goal of 100? No.
PS5 may well come close, or even outsell the PS4 one day but lets not pretend its going to be even double let...
@ sullyscigar
If it sold 1000 units in a minute when it was available for a short period of time, that doesnt mean it would sell 1000 units per minute were available all of the time, because the sales will be distributed across a larger number of minutes. A higher sales per minute when the sales are condensed into a fraction of the time doesnt mean anything.
Hypothetical example for anyone genuinely incapable of understanding:
Scenario A: 10000 sales in 50...
As much as I'd like a PS5 spider-man game build from scratch for PS5, realistically they'll use the same engine, tech and a lot of assets from the first game and Miles Morales and in that case it it wouldnt make sense to lose out on sales from the PS4. But I hope they make Wolverine from scratch, specifically optimised for PS5.
Cant help but feel they're going to be mediocre like the Uncharted movie.
Hopefully those mobile games are PSP and Vita ports, and not the usual garbage the app stores are filled with.
Tbf most people here probably werent born when the PS2 was killing it so they wouldnt know how good the PS2 was in order for it to sell 150m+ consoles. A half hearted subscription service as a solution to backwards compatability, and a shift in focus towards live service games isnt going to get PS5 anywhere near PS4 sales let alone the PS2.
Hopefully they'll address peoples concernes on why Asia and America always get preferential treatment with launch dates. I understand if they dont want to roll out globally at once, but they could put Europe first once in a while. Still waiting for the rewards system as well.
Thats true. I hate it when MS and Sony get away with adding crap to the monthly game additions because people always come up with crap like "its cheaper than the price of a coffee per month". If the games are shite, people are going to complain, whether you paid £1 a month or £10 doesnt matter because either way you didnt pay for shit.
@ FlintGREY
I got happy, looked it up, then realised its only for the US. As far as I and the vast majority of the world is concerned, PS doesnt have a rewards system.
Not that I care about MS but since you guys are comparing, MS Rewards is available in 20 countries. Still missing most countries, but not as abysmal as only being available in 1 country.
Ikr. The premium for going month by month on PS+ has always been unreasonable and not spoken about enough. PS+ Essential is $59.99, but going monthly costs $119.88. If you only liked the games in 8 months out of 12 for example, you'd still have to pay more for 8 seperate months than you would for an annual sub. I suppose its to stop people ditching the subscription when the games are crap... but that doesnt really help the perception of its value.
I dont get it... so do you need a subscription or dont you?
I bet FIFA wanted a cut of the gambling money from FUT mode but EA wanted to carry on with a flat fee for the license regardless of how much they made from the game.
I dont doubt that another developer could potentially make a better football game than EA, but I doubt they'd be shameless enough to have a pay to win mode like FUT. Activision maybe, if they set up a studio for it. But otherwise FIFA isnt going to get any more for their license than they were getting from EA. Wont b...
Yes but most people on N4G are concerned about the wallets of the corporations and how many sales they might lose.
Isnt it funny that all the games getting remade arent the live service ones or those stuffed with microtransactions, its the ones with solid single player experiences.
I dont think people grasp the different arrangements that can be made in a subscription service. Some publishers may be paid a one off fee (if its worth it for MS/Sony) but others will be getting paid smaller amounts every time someone plays the game. This would allow a company like MS or Sony to put more games on the service without paying more given that people can only play a limited number of hours in a day.
If you buy a music subscription the company might say that you...
Bad timing LOL
