We've reached the point where gamers, sorry, PC gamers, are engulfed in a war of game launchers lmao.
Pay attention, fanboy ways are only going one way.

Serves them right for buying an EA game before the reviews and patches came out. The muppets have probably still gone and pre-ordered Star wars jedi.

If you're a dev, the inferior store is the one that makes you less money, and I highly doubt devs would have signed exclusivity deals with Epic if they thought they could have made more on Steam. Lets not pretend that Epic have a gun pointed at the devs heads when they sign exclusivity. They do it because its benefits them more than steam does.
I cant wait until the arrogance of valve/steam gets the better of them.

The better solution to that problem would be a standardised achievements system run by an independent organisation.

Telling devs which stores they should sell their games on just so that you can keep your achievements in one place is like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

I wonder how many people were gullible enough to fall for it.

EA shill.

That's great but I'd rather quit gaming than stream games.

Yeah and the publisher is the one who pays developers, and the amount they're willing to spend on staff and wages is proportional to the profit they make.

Ignore the competition who's taking market share away from you at an alarming rate because keyboard warriors on N4G have your back. Great piece of business advice right there.

Its only 'so early' assuming the much rumoured release date of November 2020, but this gen doesn't really have another one and a half years left in it, and Sony must know that once the cat was out of the bag, it will have an impact on the number of people upgrading to PS4 Pro, so they wouldn't officially announce anything this early.
I think we're in for a surprise. November 2020 is just too far away.

Clearly the person selling xbox one SAD's to retailers did a better job than the guy who wrote the article.

It will baffle me to the end of my days as to why any retailer who sells a decent amount of games would shoot themselves in the foot by selling this.

"'There's a ton of momentum behind streaming and all-digital gaming right now"
No there's not. Its just corporate hype and a handful of gullible people that keep banging on about streaming and all-digital.

Most gamers don't have internet that's good enough for performance that exceeds what they could get by running the game on a console, and it will stay that way for at least another 2 generations. And most arent stupid to pay the infl...

We do follow it actually. About twice a year we have a laugh at it, as we have done for about 8 years now.

Read my comment again, it's about BC physical media.

Its a fun game but I feel like sometimes they show you a massive wave of zombies coming for you in the distance but they never really make it close to you in those numbers, even if you don't shoot. I understand that the technical demands of doing that might be too much for the PS4 slim (which is the console I play on), but it is a bit disappointing when its a big selling point of the game.

I hope it does well enough to get a sequel next gen where they can push the zombi...

More double standards from the EU. Tariff wars and bad when it comes to Brexit, but its perfectly ok when they do it and drive up prices for everyone including sane people who don't want to be ruled by a foreign organization.
Cant wait for WTO brexit. Even Gerard Batten has a greater sense of democracy than Jean-Claude Juncker.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but given that the industry is increasingly heading down the route of cashing in on remasters, I cant help but have a bad feeling that somehow they're going to cock it up when it comes to physical media.
Who's going to buy digital versions of old PS4/X1 games at ridiculous prices to play on PS5/XB TWO when most PS4/XB1 games will cost less than £5 pre-owned in a couple of years time?
