The downside would be no more than a handful of titles supported for a relatively expensive peripheral. It's good that's optional, but at the same time it needs to be pushed more so that more people would actually want the device. It's a difficult business decision, it's a damn if you do and damn if you don't kind of scenario. It's probably best not even bothering with releasing specific-purpose controllers. It's been proven time and again the masses just want to g...
They are right about that one actually, the games make up the most important factor of a console buying decision. That is why I choose PS4 because it has Knack and Drive club.
See, this is why I never had XBL Gold. 60 a year and the console is still bathed in ads.
Xbox is an advertisement platform just as much as it is a gaming platform.
Bigger than the Wii by far, but smaller than the original PS3 by far. PS3 slim more like.
I'd love to see a new wave of platforming titles/IPs on the PS4. PS1 and PS2 had great, abundant selection of titles. Please bring them on for the PS4!
Because people like the games. As long as people want them, then bring them.
That or the exclusive games of preference.
"Funny you say Uncharted was OK, it won game of the year."
Funny how I don't like Justin Bieber music, yet it won more grammy awards than every band/artist I like combined.
It's his opinion, and it's just a video game. Big deal.
Better than never?
Competition is healthy for business, and we benefit from that. I don't want the XOne to fail, even though I am not planning on buying it. I want the Wii U, but Nintendo needs to step their competitive game up. They're stuck with the underpowered hardware they released, but they can drop the price and release really fun games with excellent gameplay to make this hardware more desirable to own.
The 7th gen console war is nothing but mindless bickering over which exclusive shooter is better, but this gen's console war will actually mean something interesting.
Mac gaming isn't as abundant like PC. It's nothing (much) to do with the difficulty of hacking etc. Actually, hackers love challenge; they feel a sense of power once overcoming something people thought was impossible.
There is no way you can ward off pirates. All you can do is give them a nice maze to walk through, but they'll make it through no matter the complexity.
They're really fun back in the day. Good times.

You can at least play the Xbox disk on the 360. I know because it was the first Xbox game I tried on my 360. Not sure if it's downloadable from the XBL Marketplace or not.
I love me some Atelier.
Tales of Xillia, and hopefully a localized Xillia 2 next year. NIS, Namco/Bandai, and Atlus will also likely support the PS3 for years to come.
Also GTA V for sure!
Great game, better than Uncharted by far, but this blog is stretching the truth a bit.
I love me some Sly, please be true!
