So what? That's pretty much what CoD has been doing for years!
From the Russian Army's mass charge in CoD 2 to the espionage fueled invasion of a Middle Eastern country in Modern Warfare to the drone filled Black Ops. Each and every CoD singleplayer campaign has elements from current hot trend in movies, TV shows and global events.
No matter how much we call out on CoD's ripping out the pages of popular media, it won't stop them from doing it...
Sounds like the dev's first game, Mars War Logs. Initially it was kinda disappointing but after a while it actually got better. It's still an acquired taste but it was one of the few games last year that I've played from start to finish non-stop. It took me years to finish the technically better Darksiders(bought it upon launch, finished it just before the sequel got out but now the new one shared the fate, too) but I seem to be unable to drop Mars War Logs.

Home and a family. That's the very reason why I recommended the PS3 to a friend a couple of years back. I'm a PC gamer and I've only used, rarely, my siblings' consoles(my sister's PS2 and my brother's 360) but a lot of reading do help in recommending something else to a friend.
I bumped into him again last week and when I said "PS4?" he was all excited with the topic. Several years on I'm still playing w...
Every other games that have exoskeletons or power suits springs to mind. I won't be surprised if they have suits that can turn you into a big yellow ball and death slam into other players in multiplayer.
LOL, PS3 exclusive graphics. Console fans are calling for devs to skip developing games for the PS3 because it will cut into development for the PS4 games.
The PS3 is the shining knight against the PC when it comes to optimized games in a limited hardware configuration but when the PS4 comes around fans dropped it like a sack of something in barely a heartbeat. There are still people clinging to XP and others using mid-range hardware for the PC gaming but when a new console a...
My laptop has...had...a backlit keyboard. Initially I don't see the point of it but when they shorted out(my nephew poured water over it) I fumbled around in the dark. I actually missed it. Even with my MS Sidewinder keyboard and Razer keypad I feel somehow lost if I ever turn off the backlit. I would dim them down but never turn them off.
They have effectively blocked OR's chance of gaining a foothold on the PS4 with Morpheus but I don't think Sony be releasing it for the PC anytime soon.
Sony released the PS4 controller for the PC without an official driver. Kinect dev kit was released for the PC with just some wild ideas from experimenters(not many were even game devs) but no official products even with Kinect 2.0.
I guess consoles do need the PC, after all. Next gen consoles wouldn...
Won't be long before we see some of them filling up eBay and Amazon with horrendous pricing.
That's to be expected from a small form factor like that. Does the heat affect game performances? I can deal with skin melting heat as long as it doesn't cause significant slow down.
How's the heat management on the MSI GS70? I have an Asus G55 but I have been thinking of getting a much thinner and less bulky laptop for my next one.
Strangely enough when people say Day One Patch all I think about are console games, AAA titles in particular.
With PC games though you expect them to have some sort of bugs and fans just patiently wait for the patches or look up for some DIY solutions others might find...like the ones posted on this article.
Not saying you're wrong(for me buying games during sales are not just about the low prices) but in this day and age launch bugs are not exclusively a...
It depends on the significance of the character's sexual orientation to what is happening in the game. What's the point of shouting about some character's gayness during a zombie apocalypse?
The makers of Remember Me spent a lot of time telling everyone how uniquely non-Caucasian, no-male their main character is that it became detrimental to the game itself. I love games with female protagonists from Oni to Tomb Raider but Remember Me spent so much time on promoti...
Depends on the goodies. I actually went to another city to get a retail copy The Witcher 2. It comes with some goodies like a map, a papercraft, a bonus CD and a cursed coin. Never looked at those stuff again after the first view and I dropped the coin under the car seat. Never bothered to recover it. I don't even know how it looked like. I wonder if it still there.
Hopefully TW3 will have useful digital gifts like exotic weapons and armor or hats that actually last throu...
Both has their strengths. GOG's DRM free policy is the biggest draw between the two. When it comes to old games, casual or singleplayer only games then I would certainly choose the GOG version over Steam. Newer games that are several gigabytes in size would certainly make me choose the Steam version.
TW3 GOG edition(Ultimate/Definitve Edition? They called Diablo 3 on consoles as the perfect version because it doesn't have the PC version's always online DRM so a tr...
Atm I'm torn between the two. I really want to get the GOG version because it's DRM free while the Steam cards and achievements don't interest me much.
Unfortunately GOG's own downloader is not as good as Steam and add my slow internet connection to the mix it will not be a pleasant experience. I usually ended up downloading huge games in multiple parts(the manual option) with the Orbit downloader instead.
Fortunately with digital downloads y...
We're mad when game sequels take too long to see the light of day but then we're mad when a game is milked to death with sequels every year.
Suddenly they really need to get the game fixed at a much faster rate and get off Early Alpha as fast as possible. A dose of H1Z1 can do wonders to a game.
How does he do that without Batman even noticing? And why does solving those puzzles enables Batman to track him down and catch him?
If the Riddler is able to cover Gotham with hundreds of complicated puzzles and green question marks without Batman ever noticing then I'm sure the Riddler would have given a little bit of more effort to enure those puzzles won't give clues back to him. After re-using the same techniques again and again after Origin and Asylum, surely Ba...
I've been a Steam user for the past several years and digital have been the way to go for me since. I haven't bought a retail game in two years.
Of course being able to add more and more hard drives and backing up my game files to an external drive or burning them into DVDs(games+latest updates, barely any need to re-update them after re-instals) is a big help. To be fair this features applies only to Steam, GoG and GetGames, though. I don't know how to do backups...
Nope, the future is bright for one side only. They are saying the same thing Sony said several months ago: they can port PC games to their new consoles in mere days. They did not say anything about porting their console games to the PC.
Good news for next gen console owners, not so much for PC gamers.
