however he is the server, his computer is the one telling everyone else including you where you really are from what i gather.
so you arnt just moving all over the place. your responses, and what you get back from the server are just delayed, and choppy.
Why were we suppose to be happy about IWnet again? wait, it was suppose to be a better experience than servers?
wait the 360 version is the only one working? IW shows their true colors as a developer.
Its an old engine, and even with my PC elitest glasses I could barely tell the diffrence.
this just shows the PC was a port of the consoles, and they didnt want to put more love into it.
IWnet; no servers
no mods
no graphical improvements for those with better hardware.
I really wonder why they thought PC users would buy this?
your entitled to dissagree with my point b,
but its just how humans are i suppose.
"I'm better than you" in a snotty is more well recieved than "you suck"
just in time for mw2....
-_-
you know, I have never seen valve put out a bad port or anything like that. other than a few lack luster games, valve has an amazing record.
I have the PC version of Borderlands, and inbetween kicking some ass with my Siren, i'm dealing with PC bugs.
before he starts calling out valve for not developing for the PS3 and speaking their mind when asked, he should have his company focus on getting their product working.
to play online you need to forward por...
Valve is free to think what they want.
its a known fact that the PS3 has a unique architecture under the hood, one that isnt like any computer in the past. from the cell processor (which shouldn't be confused with having 7 cores, its 7 spes) to how the ram is divided, and the techniques you have to use in order to get everything working right is pretty different. from valves point of view, who focuses on the PC, the PS3 is a worthless platform they dont want to bother working with, spen...
I agree piracy is bad, and developers need money.
however taking something standard from gamers isnt going to help you.
Servers are a must, its why I choose PC shooters over consoles.
once again he is looking at ratios, nothing more.
yes call of duty will probably outsell all those other games that had a closer ratio to the 360.
hes just saying for every 100 360 people getting MW2, there is only 36 getting it for the ps3.
and hes looking at games like BFBC where both user bases are getting closer to 50:50.
so if we assume all user bases enjoy games, and games like MW2 will sell on the ps3, i think its interesting to see t...
They took the short term win instead of the long term.
I dont think the color is all that bad, and being a bit bigger isnt all that bad. might not be pocket size, but still portable.
over all i think its a bad move. Nintendo is pulling and iPod here. i just want a DS2 with much better hardware =/
but look at it from valves point of view. the PS3 is its own unique build. no other computer in the world is built like it, or probably every be built like it again. they have no intrest in something that is going to take time to learn and make sure their stuff works on, then learn a new one next genreration as well. they stick to PC.
if you came to me and said "hey I need you to learn to build this car engine... that will only ever go in 1 type of car... that is only going ...
Anti DSi article from a PSP site...
I think gearbox needs to fix bugs in their own game before they go after other developers.
I respect valves stance, and I respect Gearbox.
but I also know valve games are much better in quality compared to Gearbox.
Sorry valve doesnt like making bad ports, like gearbox did with the PC. the menu system itself in the PC version is broken.
Hes comparing how the user bases are reacting to games.
he just noticed a trend that while BFBC might not sell as well, the PS3 user base that is interested in the game is closer to the 360 user base. where MW2 ps3 user base is much smaller compared to the 360 base.
Did anyone forget how little support MW got for the PS3 the first time around?
I love my PS3 to death, but I traded in the PS3 version for the 360 simply because IW didnt support the PS3 version. no rumble, no trophies, etc.
not to mention playing with your friends on the first on on PS3 was a pain in the ass. no offense to anyfanboys here, but you had to be at the right screen to get your invites. its not like 360 where you get a message to go join, or PC where you ...
I thought this was going to talk about performance of games on the OS, not attacking games for windows and how MS wants to make it like XBL.
I use steam, and only use windows live when said game forces me to.
that would be pretty funny.
"you ran from the fight... so we brought it to you!"
That conversation looks so fake... too scripted.
its the PC version, he mentioned steam in the article.
