Of course it will boost sales. That's economics 101.
Batman doesn't run better on the PS3. That is a crock of sh*t!. Notice that Lens of Truth never out and out said that the PS3 version ran or looked better, they just felt compelled to give it to the PS3. They don't want PS3 fanboys to be too mad at them so they give it to the PS3 every now and then even when it doesn't deserve it. IGN and Eurogamer got it right: the 360 version is the one that looks a little bit better.
You're delusional, my friend. The 360 has more big games coming next year than the PS3 does. Nothing on the pS3 can touch Halo Reach, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake and Splinter Cell Conviction. The PS3 is looking pretty good next year, but I still think the 360 is looking better.
Bioshock and Mass Effect are completely different. Bioshock was a complete 3rd party published game, whereas Microsoft published Mass Effect. I can virtually guarantee you that Microsoft has some sort of exclusive deal with Bioware that EA will have to hold to.
Besides, even if it came to the pS3, it would look and run worse than the 360 version just like the vast majority of PS3 multiplatform games.
Wow, what an arrogant comment. What pS3 games? God of War? Sorry, but that looks too much like God of War 2, so I doubt it would win game of the year. It will probably be a nice solid action game, but I am willing to bet it won't win game of the year. Heavy Rain? Maybe, but personally I think Alan Wake looks better and has a better chance.
But honestly, when you have games like Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction and Halo Reach coming out in 2010, it's just n...
This is by far my most anticipated game in the next 6 months. The first one was utterly amazing.
MGS4 couldn't manage 720P either, so I guess that game sucks too.
Ratchet & Clank feels far more played out than Halo. I lost track of how many of them came out on the PS2 last generation, while the Xbox had two Halos. Whoopty doo!
This generation, so far, we have only got to play one true Halo game. Sure, soon we'll get more, but it was about damn time. I would have got cranky if they made me wait much longer for the next game in one of my favorite series. When compared to many other franchises Halo has not been played out at all.
No, I showed that there have been fewer Halo games per generation than is the case with many franchises, despite being one of the most popular franchises in history.
We are likely on track to have 3 true Halo games this generation, while there were 2 Halos last generation. I simply showed that that rate of release is quite normal for any successful franchise. You can be virtually certain that there will be a good number of PS3 franchises that will have 3 or more entries this ge...
The first game in nearly any franchise is usually held in particular esteem. However, you are completely wrong when you say that it is general knowledge that the series has worsened over time. Most of the people I hear say that are PS3 fanboys. Furthermore, the review scores for Halo 2 and Halo 3 have held up very well. Halo 3's reviews, for example, put it amongst the most highly rated games this generation.
I agree 100%. We had 3 Devil May Cry games last generation, how many Halos did we get? Two. 4 Onimushas, plus one spin off, all in one generation. Again, two Halos.
This generation, we are already getting the second Uncharted and have already got sequels to games like Motor Storm and Resistance, and that is only after two or three years on the market.
How many true Halo FPS games have we got so far? One, with another on the way. Not to mention that the 360 has ...
How surprising that PS3 fans think Halo is played out. /Sarcasm
News flash, most of us don't feel that way. I love Halo and there haven't been that many games. Hell, there is only one true Halo FPS so far this generation and I can't wait to get Halo 3 ODST when it comes out. That makes two in the same time frame that we are getting two Uncharteds.
Just because there were two last generation and two this generation hardly makes it played out. Halo Wars was a comple...
If it's anything like Bioshock--a year later and notably inferior--I don't think that would be anything to brag about. But you're kidding yourself. Microsoft likely has an exclusive contract with Bioware that EA must respect.
You act like because it won numerous best-graphics awards at the last E3 that it means that it completely blows away every other game in the graphics department.
Sorry, but that is not the case. They have to pick something, so even if you have 5 games with comparable graphics they are going to pick the one that impressed them the most. Now, that can be simply a matter of art style or maybe the part that was chosen to be demonstrated was better than the others.
...
It's not that glitchy. You're exaggerating.
Even Uncharted had some screen tearing, so don't act like because it had some technical performance issues that it wasn't a nice looking game, because it was. It looked very nice. The technical issues didn't get in the way of that for the most part. Besides, Mass Effect 2 apparently doesn't have those issues, so why are people bringing up the first game again when this is about Mass Effect 2?
He was talking about mega hits, guys.
Logic? About something so subjective? The only objective metric we have says that the 360 has more games and more highly rated games. Your opinion that the PS3 has the best exclusives is just that, an opinion. I think the PS3 has some good exclusives, but for my tastes the 360 has more exclusives that I care about.
I know. Thank god the PS3 got another $100 price cut.
It could turn out good, but the graphics haven't impressed me so far.
