Good thing I waited then. Still going to have to wait longer due to other games in my queue. If this costs more than $39.99 they deserve a hadouken to the nuts.
I agree. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" I'll give this guy respect for wanting to think outside the box, but it would feel out of place, considering it's the end of a trilogy.
I wouldn't mind if they mixed God of War's mechanics with Mirror's Edge, just to see how that would work, but definitely try it out on a different project.
lol Are you talking about owning Jack Thompson? I loved it when he had that expletive-filled rant absolutely destroying fanboys.
BTW - I'm a fan of you for having that Moss avatar! IT Crowd all the way!
Sessler is the only thing about G4 I still care about. He and Ninja Warrior. As far as reviewing goes, I consider him the Ebert of gaming. Usually he shares my taste in games and offers his own brand of humor and insight. Though he'd probably beotchslap me for liking RE5. lol
Just finished watching... OK I didn't watch because the game was playing in the background, so to avoid spoilers, I listened... and I whole-heartedly agree with Sessler. I've been gaming for over 20 years and I know the feeling of which Sessler speaks, it draws you in, surrounds you, and when you leave it you will always think about it and want to get home to it as soon as you can. Yes, what I described sounds like loving your mate, but in this case I'm talking about a blissful experience o...
Remember Jessica's Apartment space that was open during Xi? That'show the media streaming will be handled. Compressed video most likely and the option for Full Screen will zoom in on the TV but not completely fill the screen.
I recently had to call Sony to deactivate the system that experienced a YLOD because the video store limits you to one console. Quick and painless process. I wish they would allow you to see all of the consoles linked to your account so you can deactivate them directly. How in the world can you deactivate a broken console if you cannot even turn it on?
I believe I read a post by one of Home's community managers about being able to view the PS Store through Home being a possibility. I downright love your suggestion of streaming PS Store videos through Home and I can see that happening. I'm sure it'll happen once Sony takes care of the licensing issues.
Home has come a long way and has still more work ahead of it. In its current state, I've had a lot of fun and met many interesting people who I play games with. As a community service, which is what Home is intended to be, it succeeds. Functionality is improving (game launching which is nice) and will continue to increase when they add audio and video streaming, opening up more possibilities for communal interaction.
You say Home is a joke to you, so I ask you, why is it a jok...
It goes without saying that reviewers, expecially this generation, have rather questionable practices. As much as I want any game I'm interested in to score well, a good score is just icing on the cake. Be honest with yourselves, if you played and loved the original Uncharted then you most likely had your heart set on playing the sequel, regardless of what any reviewer's opinion of the game would be. All I can say is that I would like this game, or any game on any console, that truly deser...
Wow this game came out of nowhere...I guess like a real tornado. :P The gameplay sounds like an elemental Katamari Damacy without the LSD WTF? moments. With lack of any marketting whatsoever this game will most likely be swept under the rug, which will be a shame if it is a hidden gem.
lol Nelson M, you are terrible.
As you requested:

Do any of you understand the phrase "EXCEPTION TO THE RULE"??? NOT ALL American developers are arrogant douche bags just as not all Japanese are humble. Infinity Ward and Bungie are good examples of exceptions to the rule, just as Itigaki is a raving fanboy who slams his competition. However, there is a culural difference that is undisputeable between the two.
As DSi brought up, there is no reason a developer shouldn't be proud of the hard work they put into their pr...
So now I'm a fanboy and a bigot?
@DSi - I kept my statement objective and based on the information present. Turn 10 claims to have the definitive racer and makes their opinion quite obvious. However, with the slew of recently released information on GT5 to have come from TGS, it is clear GT5 will be a beast. I even gave Forza the respect it deserves, which is more than Turn 10 does for Gran Turismo. If anything, you are a fanboy for even considering I am and when GT5 releases...
There is no disputing the existance of idiot fanboys from all the different persuasions of gaming. However, this is not about those fanboys, it is about the unprofessionalism and excessive hyperbole of developers such as Turn 10. It's one thing to be confident in your product and another to be arrogant and harshly criticizing the competition for the sake of making their own product look more impressive in comparison than it really is. Don't get me wrong, Forza 3 will be the best of the ser...
Mainichi Issho is a great app from the Japanese store. :( Sure, I cannot read Japanese and all I can see are cute cats, but it had very robust features and mini-games. I always hoped they'd release this over in the NA territories translated, but I guess this is one dream culled.
This is the unfortunate difference between the typical American and Japanese businessman. Companies such as Microsoft and Turn 10 have been known to speak big and verbally slam the competiton whereas Japanese companies tend to celebrate the successes they make and commend and respect the competition. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule.
Throughout the period of development of Forza 3 and GT5, we've seen members of the Forza dev team speaking big about their product, ca...
It's becoming apparent that damage for games like Forza and GT is being restricted due to the licensing partners, which is unfortunate. At least we'll see total damge on the racing cars, but it would be nice to see the same treatment for commercial vehicles. Maybe the cars won't receive as much damage modeling, but hopefully the driving physics will still be changed as much as if it had.
With both PS3s, the 80GB MotorStorm and Slim, I've had XMB freezes, game freezes (Uncharted once and inFamous once), Home freezes (every time like in the article) and internet browser freezes. However, deleting/reinstalling Home fixed my freezing issue (also cut login speed down by 66%), no game or XMB freezes in weeks and very few internet browser freezes. Mind you, my Home issues were a couple weeks ago and I've still no issues with Home to this date.
There are many possibili...
