according to what I've read other places, he is referring to MS asking reviewers not to reveal story spoilers and such in their reviews.
:-)
DLC, on disc or off, season pass, whatever, is that it is optional. I would rather have the DLC model in place that for game companies to make the next-gen systems unable to play used games. But if both are in effect, then I am done gaming.
With a banshee from a high angle of attack....problem solved.
343i is a Microsoft first-party developer (along with Turn 10, Rare, Lionhead, etc.) So, pretty sure they won't be making any games for PS3 or WiiU. Sorry
but way to make sure no other game company ever wants to hire you. Dumb@$$
You ever heard of Boderlands 2? Summer, to me, means before kids go back to school. Would have bought it in July, would have bought it in August....but in September I will be too busy with Darksiders 2, Sleeping Dogs, and Borderlands 2. Sorry.
As opposed to Sony and Nintendo who have been bleeding millions for years....lol
Wii U just catches Nintendo up to what the PS3 and 360 can do already, don't think it counts as "next Gen" just because of its controller. Microsoft's Smart Glass adds that to the 360 at about the same time, so, not next-gen, sorry.
At the complete mercy of publishers. Look how publishers treat developers (i.e. EA and 38 studios, basing bonuses on Metacritic, etc.)and ask yourself if you want to be at their mercy....
Make game available both ways (regular retail and download). Since a download is pure profit for the publisher (can't be traded in, given to a friend, etc.), they should release the digital version a week earlier and make it $10 - $15 dollars cheaper. That way, people who want the case and a physical disc they can loan to friends, etc. can still get what they want as well as people without internet (or high-enough bandwidth internet), and people who are willing to give up the disk &...
Is that with no used market and digital distribution, publishers will have complete control over pricing. Look at the older full retail games being offered on Live and PSN, vs. the same game used at Gamestop (or Best Buy, or Hastings). Purchasing these games as digital downloads is usually 3 to 4 times the price of buying the same game used. Since the publishers get ALL the money from digital downloads, why so much? And what is their incentive to lower download prices when they have no us...
Halo 3 was our biggest midnight opening ever, with over 1,000 people picking up the game. We are already planning the midnight launch of Halo 4 and are expecting 1,500 people. Microsoft, especially with Halo, has got the marketing and cross-promotional stuff down, so the launch is gonna be huge.
learns how to market more effectively....
The sooner you release Jet Set Radio, the more money you will make...you've proven with Sonic that you aren't always the best at making business decisions, so let me help you....get it out before Darksiders II or your sales will be impacted....
Don't trade there. But if publishers had their way, you would never be able to get any money back for a game you bought from them, ever. You would not be able to sell it at all. That is why they are pushing for a digital-only distribution model-- so you pay, download it once, and the only way you or anyone else EVER plays that game is on your system. You can't let a friend borrow it, or sell it in any way. You buy into the hype, pay full price for Call of Duty 9, and it sucks. T...
Most of the people commenting on this have three or fewer bubbles. That should tell you something. lol
and the French came to the colonists' aid at the end of the revolutionary war....
people are getting their panties in a wad over Americans killing British soldiers. For one, all involved were technically citizens of the crown, so it was more of a civil war. Also, read a little history, pretty sure the colonists ended up kicking some redcoat @$$, so it only makes sense for a game trying to use acurate historical context. I just watched "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson the other day; can't wait for this game to come out.
Syndicate was the best game no one played this year, hands down.
