The 360 controller-triggers are better, stick placement is better, and the indented tops of the sticks=full win. I have a PS3 and the rounded sticks, especially when my hands get sweaty during intense online matches, cause my thumbs to slip off. And the stick placement doesn'f feel as natural. D-pad is a non-issue for me; don't think I ever played a game where I used it.
Crytek is a PC developer, and PC to 360 ports look and work better than PC to PS3 ports due to the internal architecture of the two systems-- the 360 is closer in layout to the PC. Unless you develop a game soley for the PS3, these issues crop up. props to Sony for pushing the boundaries with an entirely new architecture, but props to Microsoft for making a console that is easier for most developers to develop for.
companies like EA are doing everything they can to stop people from buying used games, yet they are making new games less worth the money.
The 360 can keep its momentum with no big-name Kinect or other games coming out until Gears 3 in the fall? That would be amazing.
Is back in the box. Selling on craigslist. Had 2 blu-rays and no games for it, now that I can stream HD movies from Netflix and Xbox Live I don't use it.
Realized when they went with DVDs for the 360 that eventually this would happen. But the advantage at the time they were developing the 360 (Cost, ease of use for developers, compression technology, etc.) outweighed the negatives in the future. DVD vs. Blu - Ray and system cost are why the 360 was able to release a year earlier than the PS3 and maintain a marketshare lead for the last 5 years.
Kinect didnt die on the vine like some people thought it would. No matter what the reason- enlisting Justin Bieber, 500 mil for marketing, whatever-- Kinect is here to stay, selling better than expected, and PS3's total Wii knock-off isnt. Live with it.
the Xbox sells well everywhere but Japan. #1 in England. "Doesnt Exist". Lol-kida like your brain, apparently.
but i'm not surprised. Kinect, with its marketing push, did what it needed to. But if Microsoft doesn't announce/show more Kinect games and exclusives, December 2011 might be a whole different story. I think Move is too much like the Wii and that hurt its sales numbers, but once again-- a great Move or Move-enabled title might sway things if Kinect doesnt have some more games coming out with the word-of-mouth that Dance Central had. Wii saw its day in the sun, and without an amazi...
That 2010 was an AMAZING year for games no matter what system you had, if you dove into the Move or Kinect pool or not. I have 5 or six games I've never got started on to play, and others (like the amazing but huge RDR and Mass Effect 2) I still need to finish. Still playing the crap out of Reach, never played a single game of Black Ops online. Trying to finish Forza 3 before I step up to GT5. And this year is looking just as good. I need to quit my job and play games full time!
The whole thing is retarded-comparing DEMOS? My god, the full version of ME2 is available on 360, and the PS3 version will be out soon. Do slight frame-rate differences matter? ME2 is an awesome game, especially because of its fresh and compelling story. Anyone whose enjoyment of this game-of-the-year caliber game is hurt by a few screen tears or fram drops is an idiot.
Epic spelling fail is epic. Are all Sony fans as retarded and uneducated as you?
Funny, then, how much better Kinect is selling. I work at Gamestop, and we have move bundles, move PS3 bundles, etc., all over the place, but no Kinect or Kinect 360 bundles in stock. And people ask about Kinect easily 4 times as much as about Move.
Glitch? Patchable? only if they re-do the whole physics system. Wow-this is what a game 5 years in the making can do? Lol.
nail on the head. The whole GT5 vs. Forza 3 thing really tore it for me. I have both, played both, and like both, but would never make any observations about what parts of which game I like better, because people who haven't played either would threated to kill my children because I prefer x to y. Stupid.
that for a hyped game that was in development for such a long time, people expected more. Its not a bad game, but not as good as people expected. As for comparisons to Forza, come on, we don't live in a vacuum--such was inevitable. Both are good games that do certain things better than the other. Forza wins on customization and AI driver intelligence, GT wins on graphics and amount of content. If you like racing games and have both systems, play both. They both are worthy games and ...
In the United States?
hope it makes it out this year, but now I kinda doubt it.
buy this just for the new Achievements. What would be cool is if they added a few new Armory items for free and/or a 10,000 credit bonus for people who purchased the map pack the first two days it was out, and included some new Forge items with the new forgeable map.
Have companies said this, but when the game was released, the 360 version ran and looked better than the PS3? Cough, cough, Crysis 2 anyone? Only time will tell the truth, but the fact remains that since all games are developed on PC dev kits, and the 360 is closer in architecture to a PC, the 360 versions of multi-plat games tend to have the edge.
