Is that the Cell was jointly designed for a reason-- Sony for the Gaming applications, IBM for the Scientific uses, and Toshiba for future electronics. Some day, PS3 demo units and Xbox 360 demo units will sit side-by-side in GameStops across the country, and people will be able to look at games on both and decided which look better (to them), maybe even the SAME game running on both (for reasons to many to mention here, there will be VERY few console exclusives any more). like it says in the article, all Blu-ray movies right now are ENCODED in Mpeg 2 because of problems manufacturing the 2-layer, 50mb discs. Whether some people (kids mostly) who end up talking mom and dad into a PS3, 360, or Wii, might eventually regret their decision because it was based on hype, not reality. I really doubt anyone is reading all the articles about PS3 this and 360 that to help them to decide what system to buy. Your post might give them pause to think, but as for the rest of this mess...
