Wikipedia as your source, then you are obviously a complete idiot.
I can hop just fine.
Learn to spell, or no one will take you seriously. Also, you are wrong.
He didn't say the PS3 sucked or anything, just that it wasn't worth the price at this time. The unfortunate counter-point to this is that both the 360, with its large and impressive software library and user-defined functionality (i.e, buy the HD DVD drive if you want it, upgrade to XBOX Live gold if you want, etc.), and the Wii, with its "true" motion sensing controller, cheaper price, and mega launch title Zelda, ARE worth their respective prices right now. Sure, Sony will sell ...
Actions speak louder than words. While you were busy saving the 100's of Millions of dollars you spent to buy the exclusive rights to NFL games by screwing over your employees by not paying them overtime, cutting their payed vacations, etc., other companies were hiring TALENTED, DEDICATED individuals to work on next-gen games. You single out for criticism games that are far superior to your crappy efforts, but offer no proof USING YOUR PRODUCTS of what you claim. Instead, you try to screw ...
IS that the PS3 has been delayed so many times that its launch titles have been in development as long as 360's second-gen titles. Compare Gears of War to Resistance, side-by-side, games that have been in development for almost the same amount of time, and tell me that PS3 is more powerfull then. I think the 2 systems are virtually equal, and FEATURES + EXCLUSIVE CONTENT will decide the battle. Will Sony's free online be able to compete with Live? Will Sony have enough exclusives to battl...
Is that Sony's launch will make the 360's look like a shining example of a marketing masterpiece, which it really wasn't, of course. It's almost like Sony is so worried about being "behind" Microsoft in anything that they copied EVERYTHING from MS and the 360 they could - 2 sku's, xbox live, xbox live arcade, global launch, etc. If they would have never said they'd launch in Europe until March 07, no one would accuse them of "betraying" europe. Sony should have learned ...
Will end up like the Japanese woman who starting crying at their public stockholders meeting earlier this year "What happened to Mighty Sony!" I'll tell you what happened, and it is a mistake that happens to world leaders, religious leaders, militaries throughout all history: They got overconfident based on the PS2's success, dismissed their competiton out of hand when they eliminated Sega as a hardware company, and became arrogant - "People will buy a PS3 on the Playstation ...
I got Live early as a beta tester, and then bought Mechassault and Unreal Championship when the system went "Live!" It wasn't necessarily "more" fun than single player, but man was it addictive. Brought back to my the glory days of Quake 3 on P.C. Then, when Halo 2 came out, holy crap. I couldn't hardly STOP playing on Live to finish the single player game. Forza, Rainbow Six, etc., the number of awesome Live enabled games grew to the point of ridiculousness. Now, wi...
The HD-DVD and Blu-Ray movie demos I've seen (at Circuit City, Best Buy, etc.) don't look THAT much better than DVD. It is noticeable, on the huge high-def t.v.s they use in the store, on my 42 inch Hitachi, probably not so much (it is a 6 year old set, after all). But, believe it or not, they are selling Blu-Ray players for a thousand bucks! Who would pay that? What a bunch of idiots. But at least that allows Sony to claim that a 600 dollar PS3 is actually a "deal." LOL
Except their Blu-Ray initiative. If they can get the 500,000 systems out at launch, and cover up any issues (I expect double the failure rates of PS3 over 360 because of the tech involved) with broken systems, then they can "claim" a victory in the Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD war because they just sold half a million Blu-Ray players in a couple of days. Never mind the fact that most people who buy a PS3 at launch probably won't buy a Blu-Ray movie right away, if ever-- facts don't seem to ...
Delayed launch in Europe, U.S. and Japanese Launch allocations cut 75%, Sony's stock in the toilet, Blu-Ray losing every comparison to HD-DVD in quality (and HD-DVD is HALF THE PRICE), PS3 losing exclusive games (i.e. Assassins Creed), big companies like EA waiting to see how the launch goes and holding games back (No wrestling game for PS3 this year), coupled with the difficulties in manufacturing the PS3 (I assure you that 20% working yields on the Cell and the whole Blue Laser Diode fiasco...
Is that aside from Sony Picture Studios, all other companies could eventually release movies in BOTH formats, or, if HD-DVD continues to spank Blu-Ray, switch over. There is no reason they have to stay exclusive to one format, and they will go where the money is available to be made. Most companies in the exclusive Blu-Ray camp are waiting to see how the PS3 launch goes, because, yes, a large amount of PS3's sold equals a large, exclusive, Blu-Ray movie market. But with Sony's launch-day P...
As I have mentioned (and many others have mentioned) in the past, that in this next generation, most games will be on both the PS3 and the 360-- they will look, and play (well, minus rumble on the PS3 and without motion-sensing on the 360) almost exactly the same. So Tecmo is releasing a port of the original Ninja Gaiden on the PS3 because.... wait for it.... Ninja Gaiden 2 will be released for both platforms. Porting the original over will give Tecmo programers and engineers the experience...
Of the farce that is the Sony Network Platform. They want to copy all of the features of Xbox Live, but not pay for them (by passing the cost to consumers like Microsoft does.) So this type of thing will be the result of Sony offering its online service for free. Sure, to most consumers, a free online service that mimics Xbox Live seems like the Icing on the over-hyped PS3 cake. But you CANNOT, WILLNOT and NEVER get something for nothing. Microsoft, when it brought out Xbox Live, knew th...
The truth hurts, don't it? Sony has only themselves to blame. If you want to look for outside indicators that Sony has screwed themselves, look at their stock prices.
As much as Sony claims Blu-Ray is included in the PS3 because games will need the space, the REAL reason is because they stand to make MILLIONS if Blu-Ray wins the HD format war. Look at Sony's history-- they have tried how many times to introduce proprietary media formats so they could sit back and rake in the royalties. It has never worked. Why do they keep trying? Because the amount of money they stand to gain is astounding. Every single copy of a PS3 game on a Blu-Ray disc-- Sony wou...
The Japanese are the most racist people on earth. If you don't belive me, read "Rising Sun," by Michael Crichton or research what they did to Chinese and Korean captives during WWII. They refuse to buy the 360 BECAUSE it is an "American" product, assembled in China. If US Citizens were as brand- and country-of-origin- aware as the Japanese, and bought "mostly" American made products (And I give you the point that in electronics, etc., such might be hard to fin...
Look at post #1, that is why the disc uses 20gigs, extra sh1t that doesn't need to be on it, that in this generation is changed for region, etc. Also, I notice he doesn't mention in his blog how LONG the 2x Blu-Ray drive takes to load all this information. My guess is because it aint pretty-- two to three minutes per level. Next-gen, indeed. Welcom3 the chang3 of EVEN LONGER loading times than the ps2.
They tooted their own horn, "The next genration begins when we says it does." Well, they f*$ked up their launch so spectacularly that it makes the 360's look like a resounding success, didn't they? So when, exaclty, Sony will next gen finally get here?
