There is program compat. and Dosbox. Yes it is free and helps make the win98 and older games playable on a modern os.

If it's a high end 4000 series, of course. A low end 4000 series, could be a problem. An HD4350 may have new tech like dx10 and unified shaders, yes Xenos has unified shaders as well, but not that many stream proc where as a 4850 would kick console butt! Especially when paired with eDRAM. Mind you that temp changes are different between the two.

The price for the 60 gb launch ps3 was 599.99. I have one. Got it for free bout a year ago. Nintendo can drop the price of the 3DS once the vita comes out. That means they have a year and drop the price to 199.

Gotta remember that Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen owns Charter. They could definitely get it working. Also the other free services don't give you every channel. That is where XBL would be different. Especially if they charge for it. Who would not want to pay 90 or even a 100 bucks a year for diamond if they never need to pay a 50 dollar monthly service again?
Not everything can be free. Just because sony offered it for free, they had to. If they charged like MS, they would be SO far behind. Reason why they are relevant is because they DO offer it for free. Sometimes you get what you pay for or dont....
I don't know how they are forcing core gamers to using kinect. Most games have certain features that are completely optional. How is that forced? How about how sony forced bluray? That is forced because you had no option to buy the system without it for cheaper.
