Not trying to start bs but that is why apple and Live are secure. True you have more creative freedom in an open source but there are risks with it as well. A closed system is MUCH more secure. For the most of us that aren't computer gurus, we want the easy to use, safe approach.

Sorry...I just think that anything over 400 bucks is too much for a gaming console. Then again people pay 600 bucks for an ipad and 2600 bucks for a mac book pro. Just doesn't seem to make sense.
Sorry but sony not copying anyone was a big laugh. Even ubisoft called sony "me too". Motion sensing came out way before current and last gen.
Nintendo did it first with Gameboy Advance and the Gamecube. Just was too costly to have four advances and the cables to connect them to the cube and the game. We'll see.
I think they can get away with a 400 dollar price tag for the first year. Then a 100 dollar drop. I don't think any company will launch at 600 bucks again. The sheep that fell into that, wow, not even using vasoline...

Frosty I think you are misinformed. The X360 has 5 times the memory bandwith than the ps3. Ala the 10 mb eDRAM as well as the 512 mb of gp ram. The Xenos gpu is 50 mhz slower than the rsx but is utilizing newer technology than the rsx, ala unified shaders, etc. The ps3 has a ridiculous floating point calculations as well as the cell be able to take some of the workload off the rsx. I liked the first game better but second one had better action sequences. I liked how the first one you could use guns and not just your blood powers or something to that effect. If they could merge the two, it would be awesome. Hopefully they res Advent Rising. Aside from the constant targeting, it was a good game.

How many of those "active units" are used primarily as a blu-ray player? I give props for sony manking a quality product that doesn't break as much as competitors but to make those silly claims when the most successful product they made had NO hdd in them is ludricous. He makes it out that sony did you a favor but in truth, the slow read of the blu-ray could not play games without the addition of a hdd. the ps3 needs that hdd to stream large data faster.
