but multiplayer gaming is built on disempowering and dominating your opponent. Look at Halo's longstanding fine noble tradition of teabagging a fallen enemy. As Benjamin Franklin once said, 'Why even bother killing people if you can't teabag their corpse?'.
Either women should be treated the same as men in multiplayer gaming, which means a good deal of teasing that could be taken as offensive due to the social history of inequality between both genders (note I'm n...
It's not a good idea but comparatively it doesn't seem so bad. Admittedly it's a sad state of affairs when Sony can crush the competition by ONLY forcing us to pay to play online and nothing more but that's the way it is. PSN is still the best online service on a hardcore gaming console, that might be damning it with faint praise but there you go.
I think the more important point is what this type of reporting is doing to the world. In every form of media we have people too terrified to speak openly and honestly about anything because they know every word they say will be examined by journalists desperate to find something to make a story out of. By allowing the existence of a climate in which a person can not give a simple lighthearted taunt while demonstrating a videogame what do you think we're doing to the creative arts themsel...
It actually didn't look bad for what it was but I can't help but think from the little I've seen it shouldn't be a numbered Final fantasy game. I'd rather think of it as a spin off set in the same always different Universe. I also can't help but wonder what it is about Japanese games and those stiff unnatural character animations. Even many of the most beautifully made Japanese games seem to have those very old school stiff animations.
So sad. I'd trade the next hundred macho Michael Bay styled killing simulators that come out this year for the first three hours of this game.
I need to see gameplay before I go crazy for it. GTA4 was very detailed but sooo grainy and just plain messy in motion (yes, I played it on both consoles and it was). If it looks as crisp as Red dead or Max Payne I'll be very happy but if it has that 'constantly surrounded by a haze of cooking oil droplets' thing GTA4 had going my hype will go down significantly.
Wish I didn't want this because I'm so against these half sequels and unnecessary prequels on principle.....but...I want it. I can't deny. The fights against the martial artists look cool.
Without that one knockout punch I'd say it was about even. Microsoft did far better than I expected and Sony did a little worse. After that one big knockout blow of no DRM, no spycam, no online check up, Sony won by a huge margin. The entire conference was basically like watching Muhammad Ali fight back in the day, Sony took a few punches and kept quiet until in one moment they delivered a huge knockout blow.
It's definitely a bit of a bummer but with the knowledge of the bullet we dodged with everything else it doesn't seem so bad. Better to take a sly finger or two than a savagely inserted broom handle.
I honestly might play through first time with the Adam West skin. It's basically just a Silver age comic book Batman and might fit better with the idea that he's still finding his feet as a vigilante and might not have figured his look out yet.
In all honesty Ihave to say I thought it was about equal for most of the conference. Which is to say I was pretty underwhelmed by both. The PS4 looks great but I don't think the gameplay demos were really handled well. They could have pulled way in front with a detailed gameplay walkthrough of Infamous Second son, the gameplay trailer looked great despite the crass choice of music but they really should have replaced the AC4 walkthrough with a more detailed look at Infamous.

Thanks very much.
Seriously, Babelfish isn't as accurate as you think it is.
That's a shame, I hate prequels. Thankfully my love for Mirror's edge is more than enough to overcome it.
Showing the CGI trailer beforehand was a bad idea. It's like trying to set up a friend with a reasonably attractive girl but paying Scarlett Johansson to give him a lap dance first.
Anybody know if the full show will be up anywhere to watch after its streamed live?? I'm in the UK and will be watching Game of thrones when the thing starts but I want to watch the full show from start to finish and not just random snippets. Thanks in advance.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes. Same art style too which was my main worry, I didn't want them making it all brown and gritty. Also, maybe I'm just letting my hopes get carried away but I didn't see her pick up a gun. Hopefully this means they removed the gunplay.
I like the idea of the assassins out to collect the price on Batman's head but I still wish his outfit was a little more primitive to make it feel more like the early years. The game itself looks like more of the same which to be honest, just this once as a big Batfan, I might be okay with. Absolutely just this once though. If there's another prequel released after this I will not be buying.
That would make sense of this was the first next gen game we'd seen but we've already seen many games that look far better than this. Admittedly none of them look perfect and it is good to keep expectations from getting ridiculous but to say 'this is it' is silly when we've already seen far better than this.
Thanks for being civil yourself. I've disagreed with a lot of points you've made recently but I respect the fact that you argue the logic of your points out fully rather than doing the usual Internet debate thing of shouting opinions over and over as if they're facts. I'm often too lazy to continue an argument to its conclusion but I do enjoy a quick debate here or there.
I'm too sleepy and lazy to get into defending 'offensive' humour (when done with...
