Personally? None.

I still disagree (as sure as you are that the story and characters will be enjoyable I am predicting the opposite based upon the limited info we have so far) but I have to admit you argue your case well. I wasn't expecting anything more than'well u don't half to play it dumb troll' but I see many of your points. I do agree GTA is inconsistent, I just think it's individuality redeems it. Like we've both said, the characters are nothing new taken as they first appear. I ...
My car is also a toaster? Good, it's time these car companies understand that people don't just drive cars around all day.
QWOP RPG confirmed?
It's really a problem with the very act of thinking in labels. It doesn't matter what the word is, no human being can be entirely summed up by one word. There's really no such thing as 'giving a bad name to all ______'. You can only use the behaviour of one gamer to judge all gamers if you can empirically demonstrate that this person's behaviour resulted entirely from them playing videogames and was not even influenced by any other factor in their lives.
'A tropical bird whistle in a Caribbean cave? Well I never, best go investigate'.
In all honesty it does look like the biggest jump in quality we've seen since AC2. I know it's a dumb small thing but more than anything I like how he actually puts his hood down when he's not on an Assassination. I always hated my guy walking around in full Assassin costume looking incredibly strange but not raising suspicion, I like how he blends in a little more with his h...
As the owner of a big pricey 3D TV I have to say I'm glad it's gone. It was fun for a quick race on Motorstorm or some flashy arcade game but I never use it for story based games since ultimately it's too uncomfortable and distracting. Don't get me wrong I hope we still get the occasional 3D title like De Blob 2 or Child of Eden to just put on for twenty minutes and have some 3D fun but I am SO glad it's not become the new visual standard like HD or something and become ma...
It'll make more difference than 'OMG can't wait!!!1!1!!'. If more people would actually stand up for better and more interesting experiences in games we wouldn't be drowning in generic cheesy crap creatively on par with a Vin Diesel movie because the companies would see that we demand an evolution of the artistic elements of games to match the technical evolution of recent years and they would supply it.
You can say I am reading too much into too little in...
I like the idea behind the gameplay, graphically it's looking less impressive every time we see it but mostly I'm just sick of the same cheesy generic characters. The super serious gravel voiced anti-hero with a 'badass' sounding name, the hippie burnout tech guy, the 'cool' cyber goth chick who can hold her own against the fellas. It's all so lame and cheesy and makes me embarrassed to be playing games when approaching 30 years of age.
I'm not...
Hey, does anyone else think it'd be cool if the next Littlebigplanet was based around creating 3D levels? What.... It's just me?
Seriously, it so clearly needs to happen. With the amount of people saying it they have to be aware of the demand. I love Littlebigplanet but another of the same kind of 2d game would be definitely one too many. I thought the Vita version of LBP was easily the best yet but I still haven't completed the main campaign and don't even play ...
I appreciate the idea of the way Saints row has gone, focusing purely on crazy fun antics but at it's core level it's just such a dated, shoddily put together game. Even if I just want to have fun I find it more enjoyable to drive a weighty feeling car fast around an atmospheric, living feeling city like Liberty city rather than flying on rocket boots while firing lasers out of my eyes in a dead city with no atmosphere or believability.
It's like arguing that Batman ...
I love the menu combat of the originals but it does feel a bit ancient at this point and I wouldn't be against seeing some new modern take on it as long as they keep the basis in tactics and stats rather than just reflexes. Ni No Kuni had a pretty good take on the battle system despite being a bit clunky to control. Some kind of refined version of that would be ideal to me.
Still my main problem with newer Final fantasy games remains with this one and it's that the chara...
Great article, I had no idea about many of these. The original detailed Sonic sketches and Ratchet both look great to me. The original Gordon Freeman is disturbing, I'm glad they didn't keep him as some kind of Dwarven Viking Rob Zombie.
San Andreas was the only game in the main series that I hadn't played until I bought it recently on PSN and I have to say I haven't really been able to get into it. I don't even really know why. Maybe nostalgia is colouring my opinion of the older games but I've replayed them recently and they hold up well. I am not even out of the ghetto in San Adreas yet and I'm sure it will get better once I am but to be honest it's already feeling like a bit of a slog.
The game is about a kind of virus that gets into people's brains and causes them to behave irrationally and do terrible things to one another for no good reason. What could it possibly have to do with religion?
I do enjoy a good cheap Indie game that can be enjoyed in one sitting like a movie, I thought Journey was a perfect example of that, it made for one amazing night but coming back to it for weeks before finishing it would have felt weird and not good.
I also enjoy a good ridiculously long RPG such as any classic Final fantasy or Bethesda's many games that allow hundreds of hours of exploration and discovery.
As for a story driven, linear (or sandbox with a linea...
The fact that this article completely ignores the hard work many devs put into combatting videogame addiction is truly disgusting. The yearly releases of new half-sequels, the cheesy adolescent writing and shallow clichéd characters, the same old tired gameplay concepts recycled over and over, all of these things that permeate the gaming industry these days to the extent that I barely buy games anymore. All of these measures are taken for your safety and to have you just ignore that is o...
I feel the controversy is justified, I have spoken with leading feminists and have crafted an alternative script based upon their feedback which I hope to send to Naughty dog and see it replace the original script for all future editions of the game. Here is an excerpt...
Tess - Joel, we need you to guard this young girl on her way to see the Fireflies.
Joel - She doesn't need me to guide her, she's a strong independent woman and I am but a mere man, geneti...
Damn, the author really claims Bioshock Infinite is based around better gameplay? I absolutely loved Bioshock Infinite but it's gameplay aside from the cool skylines was bog standard FPS fare. I still loved it because the overall experience all the elements came together to create was brilliant. I actually preferred The last of us BECAUSE it based it's brilliant experience around more varied and interesting gameplay. Neither game is exactly Portal 2 in terms of original gameplay but I...
