That's absolutely insane. I had no idea there was such seedy business going on in professional gaming. To be honest I barely knew professional gaming was a thing, I assumed the most you could earn at it was a signed photo of Chewbacca or something, it's crazy to think there's enough riding on some people playing League of legends that it becomes a whole life and death affair. Obviously I wish the kid well and hope that bastard exploiting him is brought to justice soon. Though I st...

I'm still waiting for the type that you plug directly into the brain and are suddenly completely in the game. Sort of like the Matrix but hopefully with less douchey PVC pants and wrap around shades (which means the artistic side of gaming has to do a lot more work than the technology side if we ever want this to happen).

I prefer games with a strong narrative, hardly ever play competitive multiplayer and hate military shooters so Titanfall really couldn't be any less my type of thing but I have to agree with the article that criticizing this game for not having a strong narrative is dumb and sort of like criticizing Dear Esther for not having a Team Death match mode. More games need to concentrate on doing one thing well rather than adding a ton of half assed attempts to placate every type of gamer.

More than the life of an Assassin, the Assassin's creed series really let's you know exactly how it feels to be an abused suburban housewife. Just when you get tired of the subtle abuse and the being taken for granted, just when you screw up your courage enough to leave they come up with some grand over the top romantic gesture (AC2 or 4) so you think, 'oh they really have changed! They really do care!' Then a week later they're right back to sitting on the couch drinking ...

Yeah well, I ain't sorry, seeee? I'd do it again in a heartbeat, jack. I ain't never gonna live that straight 9-5 life, buddy. I live on the edge and there ain't nobody gonna stop me. Not you, not the coppers, not nobody, seeee?

Anyone know what the statute of limitations is on this stuff? About five years ago I downloaded and played Mutant league football for nostalgia reasons. Just wondering if I should leave the country or grow a beard or something.

Completely expected and I'm sure it had to happen but it's just officially made me not excited about anything happening in gaming for a long time to come. Plus, with recent events it's not like we can be sure it's going to look any better for the delay. I know these guys aren't the evil wizards at Ubisoft but still I find myself expecting the next time I see this game not to be thinking, 'Wow I'm so glad they delayed this' but 'Yeah that initial trailer did...

I know a lot of people complained about floaty and clunky looking shooting but I actually like that, I'd prefer cumbersome shooting with a little character to perfect fast arcade shooting. Still, I am getting sick of how everything in gaming is so Michael Bay and this game doesn't look to change that much beyond the surface.

It seems we either get chin stroker 'experiences' in which we stare at an 8bit cube while listening to a man read poetry or we get hammy Mic...

You know, they say the Xbox's audience is primarily composed of douchey moronic immature thirteen year olds but I've never seen any evidence of that.

Oh come on! I still haven't finished the previous one and I need to be frugal with my spending right now but damn it, I'm gonna have to buy this aren't I?? I just can't see a way around it. Maybe I'll finally force myself to finish off that big skeletony bastard Nito tomorrow and that might at least get me determined to finish that whole game before I fork out for this one.

At least you're not overreacting. That's the most important thing.

RE-your last point. Fair enough, point taken, each to their own and all that but more importantly.... did......did you just use the phrase 'listen here, boy' without any kind of irony? I know this is a heated issue and all but please let's not pull out our impersonations of 1940's school teachers just yet. At least not until Ubisoft release more video, young man.

Damn, man. Take a breath. I can only speak for myself when I say the game itself looks like your usual cheesy generic Michael Bay style adolescent crap so the only thing making me consider buying it was the incredibly immersive environment shown off in the earlier videos. I can handle a cheesy immature plot if the simple act of walking around the streets feels cool and immersive. I can handle 'okay' graphics in a creative and intelligent game but when the game is clearly the same old ...

Maybe it's just part of the plot. Maybe Aiden has to track down the criminal mastermind that has replaced the city's streets with grey construction paper and started pumping thick blue smog into the city at night.

Meh, not impressed (haven't watched the video yet but just wanted to fit in).

Trying to lock down that crucial Japanese gaming audience?

I'm kinda glad they didn't get the soundtrack they wanted. Grunge ran to a large degree on the belief that it was somehow had more integrity than the other music out there at that time and was about more than just providing cheap thrills, whether you personally believe it actually was or not that assumption among the people is what made it something of a movement. I love grunge music and I love just pure fun action games but I don't need to see the two mixed. I love Leonard Cohen ...

What???!!?? When did.... I mean, how...?? What are we going to...?.......oooooh, you mean in the GAME? Phew, had me worried for a second or two there.

Leaving aside the dishonesty which is what people are really angry about, I wouldn't mind less than stellar graphics this was a sequel to Journey or Brothers: a tale of two sons. It's not. We've seen enough to safely assume this is gonna be yet another cheesy shallow swaggering douche simulator in which your 'badass' brooding character swans around talking in a gravelly voice and acting like the lead character in the corniest of corny movie ever made by Michael Bay. Doing ...
