"a tech demo which usually don't look as good as the actual game"

I'm sure you know, but it's the other way around. It's the actual game that usually doesn't look as good as the tech demo.

Oh my god!!!!!!! He put a message saying that he thinks the game is good on metacritic!!!!!
... big deal.

But now the user-scores are completely unreliable!
... as if they weren't before <_<

Mass Effect is developed by a different Bioware studio. Thing I hope about Mass Effect 3 is that the world feels a bit less static and fake, and that the graphics are improved a bit.

600 euros won't translate to 900 dollars. It'll translate to 600 dollars.

On that note, that's not a surprising price for a phone.

Just wish they had continued the Knights of the Old Republic franchise, instead of creating an MMO..

The gameplay feels slow, and I'd not be very likely to play it for more then a week..

How is it that so many wannabe journalists mix up graphics technology with artstyle? They're not the same thing, and they never will be.

On that note, the demo was purely technological, i.e. what can we do with the next-gen technology. It has nothing to do, in any way, with "heading in the wrong direction", as there are only two directions it can go into:

- Lower performance
- Higher performance

It's rather obvious w...

Technology improves, developers need to keep up. A lot of the development companies still ignore modern tools to aid in debugging and software creation, there's quite a few things that could lower the current development costs, given an initial investment.

The problem is, people like to stick with what they're used to.

I'm guessing that Registry entry has something to do with detecting if the copy has validated or not, though I can't be sure.

I'm with you when you say that it's unlikely that it does nothing, but I'm not with you if you believe that it's harmful.

It's better then DRM, that's for sure.

Lol, "So I can download games for free", but hey getting the wii back is more important then the actual crime here, isn't it?

Believe it or not, but I actually enjoy Killzone's story. I don't get why there's so many complaints about it (though I can understand complaints about the ending), as most of them are asking the story to be something it's not, instead of taking it for what it is.

No offense, but how many of you actually understand the stuff that they are talking about in the slides?

Whilst yes it does use the SPUs, and yes it does use them in a smart and efficient way, the presentation isn't about that. It's about how it achieves that, which is quite interesting in its own right, but rather high level Computer Science stuff.

"They know what to do now"

Not exactly. They knew what to do until this firmware version, but from KakARoToKS comments it's clear that they do not know what to do to hack this one. They're back at square zero.

The only thing I imagine will happen is that they find some way to revert this, or they will just tell everyone to stick with the previous firmware, and modify the games to be supported with them. Though game developers could embed cod...

She played in a fair amount of movies, not too many though. She did voicework for Age of Empires, and she played in Titanic.

Name slipped my mind though, but her husband played in Titanic as well.. As her husband.

Edit:
It's Rosalind Ayres.

You misread that one. It says that "if you own a copy of Killzone 3 that you haven't paid for, you stole it; Except for the situation in which you've borrowed the copy of a friend"

Though strictly speaking, borrowing software from friends isn't legal either. It's not classified as stealing either though.

They're two different teams. Mass Effect 3 has been in development for almost 2 years by the time it comes out, which is plenty of time to make a good game.

On top, they're not changing gameplay mechanics too much from Mass Effect 2.

Aside from that, I hope there'll be some information soon on what PC players get extra on Mass Effect 3, because having a rig with an i7 and running a game like Mass Effect 2 just looks.. wrong.

Reboot: Please no Angelina Jolie. She's good in some movies, e.g. Tourist & Salt, but I don't feel she made a very good Lara Croft.
