Here's a thing...why don't they coexist? Both have pros and cons. I have both - but know what I'd take IF I could only have one.
Like saying no car should exist because of Ferraris. Pointless piece of zealot authoring...looking for clicks...
Would've been day 1...
I support a good games DLC that extends the life of my experience and doesn't either feel like it was cut from the original or just a cheap tacky addition.
But P2W or gamble money on content I receive is a whole new ball game...
I was about to pre-order.
But not now.
With HRoach616 - until I've seen it and know what's involved, they've lost what was a fairly guaranteed sale...
Graphics only matter alongside a multitude of other criteria.
Fantastic graphics alongside the overall experience; yes please.
Photo realistic piece of crap, no thanks.
Betamax/VHS anyone?
One of a few time Sony lost out. But not this time...
Ha haaa ^^^
With you on that...I don't care for fanboyism. Games are more important than the nuts and bolts that they play on. And the experience across the PS and MS prime consoles is so similar. Not the same - I believe the X will get the better multis from now on (or there's a problem with the developers) BUT are those differences always visible during the gaming experience without full scale sampling and analysis? No - not generally. The PS is still the one I'd recomm...
OMG...there's extra blobs at 400 and 600x..
These comparison websites are having a field day with this resolution gate.
I remember back in the day where there were more differences between an ST and an Amiga.
Both look good to me. But not up there with GTS or Forza. And personally I think PC handling sucks in comparison too...
So a black screen of 2160P is a sight to behold...
And yet NPW...there's still dynamic 4K on the Xbox X too.
Give it a rest eh?
I've got an X and enjoying Forza and Sunset Overdrive - and looking forward to playing The Crew 2, Far Cry and RDR2. Disappointed in Gears - but that's just it. A game is a different experience for everyone. And a good game is a good game for someone regardless of pixels, frames and most importantly...platform.
Hopefully some improved handling too...
With 2pac on this. It doesn't feel like F2P. Yet.
FUT has been MTs from years back but people support that for football and the chance to create a super team. When I've played it, I don't and never will.
However, there are plenty of other modes of play that DON'T require MTs (and paying further real money).
But I'm guessing that going forwards, there's every chance it will be even more MT based. Buy a base game, pay for the leagues you want, ...
Pathetic.
In the same way that, up to 2 weeks ago, the Pro had all the better looking games than any Xbox AND all the exclusives. Now it has all the cross plats at a slightly lower performing level BUT all the exclusives still.
The Pro is still by far and away the better choice for all the general gamers who can only get one platform.
And that comes from someone who has an X too. Enjoying Forzas at the moment and will get the forthcoming (hopefully) SP experiences o...
Very very sadly less and less of those around.
And ridiculously outnumbered by the type of society that the headline talks about... 😔
That's the other problem though...mums dad's aunties and uncles are buying this for their respective relatives completely oblivious of the MTs and grind involved because it's not clear from the box. Christmas is a mine of spontaneous purchases for presents. They hope to milk the recipients by not making the purchaser aware.
All such bad practice. No forgiveness (or sale) based on backhanded practice...
@uth11
Just intrigued...would you have bought the game regardless?
Without the complaints, it wouldn't have changed. Interested to know whether the grind or pay wall was acceptable to you too.
Don't get this immediate "forgive them" attitude when they obviously decided to milk the franchise.
For most people, forgiveness doesn't happen after a quick sorry - takes time and some further displays of remorse...
@Jinger
Ah...so it's "only" taken you this time SINCE EA made the changes to reduce the time required...
...
...thas quite funny...
Here's your new Ferrari, sir.
Nice car you've bought. But the engine's rev limited to 2500rpm until you've done 10000 miles or you pay us another 20%...
Enjoy your £185000 car, sir.
It probably will look better on the X when the Pro version arrives in 6-12 months. But I don't think the Pro owners will be left with a blank screen in the meantime anyway...
