Not if it costs more to make?
I think they're saying 'spectacular vista' with nothing to really do. Basic objectives of "fetch / collect / tussle" - and move on. Regardless of SP/MP.
Waiting to see what the final game is like.
Cancelled my pre-order for now BUT it's peeked an interest; especially if Rare have held back for the final version.
Aloy to feature in Horizon One Dawn...
So do you have to buy Gears Ultimate even if you own Gears?
So IF MS became sole supplier of their 1st party titles, you think they'll do you a good deal? Or just suck up the profit from the parts of the chain you mention?
This move will lead to a price hike in a few years, justified by their increasing 'costs', when all they're doing is absorbing more profit.
ALL competition is good for the consumer -physical from high street, online and digital from stores and cheap codes to redeem. The less there is...the worse it ...
TBH...the only thing this will kill is MS' ability to produce quality 1st party titles.
If everyone on the MS side does what they claim they will do (hop in and out of the pass when titles are released), it's impossible for MS to make the profit they need to make further titles. For $10 a month, they probably need three subscribers to one current sale to even maintain a budget for development, let alone profit enough to expand on studios.
It probably will kill smalle...
@TheDriz
On the beta now...and I'm with you.
Pretty, cartoony, watery adventure. But I've not been involved in too much action and I don't feel like I can steer the crew I had in that direction. Not to say I necessarily knew what I was doing.
It's peeked an interest- but think I'll cancel my pre-order for now and wait and see...
The whole world doesn't finally care to play it. It's not for me - I don't care. I've watched trailers and gameplay and won't be swayed into even making a later purchase.
That said, seems like a great offering this time out for its series, I hope it attracts new interest; and offers up a large slice of that promise to all it's players.
Diversity is gaming...
Eh? ^
What is this Normans Sky you speak of??
😉🤣
Now that sounds like a GREAT game.
Prequel - Quentins Sky.
Sequel - Brians Sky.
The options are endless... ...
I get your point though...can have lots of pretty environment with drab or tedious gameplay. I haven't played SOT yet, so can't comment. Played NMS (for my money's worth) and enjoyed it up to THAT point...
That would be something. The content of another 100-150 track combinations, another 800-1000 odd cars, higher native res, 60fps, full single player (cups/leagues/local), full VR option, dynamic weather a la Driveclub, more interactive backgrounds/atmosphere AND FIA affiliation.
Fantastic game with a wheel - and with great support still, EVEN as GTS...
...but agree; I can imagine better on a PS5.
Make it happen, Sony/PP!
There's a huge user base of PS4 who haven't played the original. As well as the large number who think it was a game before its time and welcome a chance to play it as a better game.
Nobody's forcing you to buy it - so don't.
Also, considering it's a remake with obvious differences that spoil the "charm", I don't mind spending the £20 I'm paying for it.
There are cash grabs on all platforms but I don't think this is one...
@Eldyraen...
Accept that stating a personal point of view in a comments forum isn't going to match with everyone - and that it will lead to comparisons. At least those comparisons are with another game...neutralgamer1992 wasn't claiming that real life was better!
Not if it's the same graphic engine but they chosen to take an aspect of landscape out over 2 years for a design reason. Whether it's for a panning shot in a cut scene, whether it's different atmosphere wanted, whether it's an art direction gut feel. 2 YEARS ago, the scene was different.
Really think a few people should get a life. Analysing target scenes in year 1 or 2 from a 3-4 year project is like reading a script and visualising the finished film. The trailer pro...
AAA games aren't cheap to make and while trying to make them affordable to more people is admirable, I don't see the economics adding up. Those that can afford to 'own' will probably continue to do so, which reduces the subscriber numbers further. Interested to see how it goes...
I fear that while EA hold UFC license, that's all they'll focus on. While I've enjoyed UFC2, UFC3 doesn't seem to be much of a step forward. Even settle for a remaster/remake of Fight Night Champions. But would love to see a game making full use of current gen processing focussed on boxing... 😔
Exactly the same DLC as the last UFC??
Bonus...get to buy it twice... 🤔
And if it had been the same as earlier GOW, would that not be a copy and paste too? Damned if they do and damned if they don't.
Fight Night first...
How many people buy these right at the start of the games commercial release?
May be just me, but I don't understand why you'd spoil it so early on..?
