Just play the games on whatever console you have. Ignore the content snipes from each side of the valley. Who gives a crp about the relative resolution and frame rate. If you only got one console, there's only one choice. If you got both, judge for yourself.
Ps4 may have been "best" for 3 years, xb may be "best" for 3ish years and then the whole thing kicks off again.
Play the games people, play your games...
Given that after PSX or even around XB1X release, Sony will probably drop price of both PS4 models to try and drive home their sales advantage...I'd personally wait.

Thanks...not seen that Brands comparison before. GTS looked so much better - colouring and lighting. Even how the car moves on the road. Bit of an eye opener. Not sure about sound played side by side. Loved the sound in driveclub and fear that neither will match that - based on other videos I have seen.
I'm saying that as you put it, 2 generations ago, we had 10 max and now we have 15 times that. So I assume that in two generations time, a racer must have what...2000 cars?

You need to look back to when racing games only offered 5-10 cars. If you raced all the circuits with 150 cars, you'll have spent a lot more time in this game than most other games available.
Don't get why 150 is a small number now. It's not 700, they indicated that more are coming but 150 is still a lot of racing.
If 150 race differently, rather than 350 race the same in Car Racer Z with 400 cars for example, then I know what I'd select.

Wonder what the global spread will be. Dominant in NA for a time, no doubt, But really interested to know what the take up will be worldwide. Much the same as the XB1S but proportionally lower? After initial shipments, 1 in 5 like PS/PS Pro ratio?

Can someone tell me...Forza 7 'dynamic weather'...is it dynamic? I heard it was the same weather throughout/predetermined for each race?
Must say that they do look very similar if you discount lighting. Can see more detailed textures in 7 but better draw distance in places on 6. Also noticed in car, that the bonnet curve seemed to be a bit jaggy on 7 compared to 6 (2:25ish onwards).
A case of more optimised for XB-X maybe?
Have to agree. Most people will already have a superior copy of these titles on another platform and will only double-dip for a classic on the go experience of a genre they REALLY like. If those titles short change, they'll probably stick to the exclusives by Nintendo - providing of course, they like the Nintendo releases too!

I like the fact that it's not been a groundhog year. There's been some fantastic new IPs. Not all - and there's definitely been some replica annual outings along with some dross. But I don't think it's been disappointing.
Also, unlike some, understand that the X will generally provide the better versions of the non-exclusives between now and PS5 - and therefore considering for likes of RDR2, for example. But that's all part of the justification equation...

Like I said...if you compare the Forza sound to the driveclub sound in the video posted on another review, there's a distinct difference...high pitched to a deeper sounding. Be first to admit that I don't know the true sound of a skyline in the spec offered but I know I prefer the deeper pitch.
Not getting into the graphics debate as I accept there are marked differences in various other aspects of the games. Just expected a little more...

I've got an XBX on order to run Forza and Forza Horizons predominantly (where I wish exclusives crossed boundaries!). But not so sure now. Sound seems out (too high pitched in the other review video elsewhere) and while it's an amazing achievement to get 4k/60, it's not looking as advanced as I thought it would. Waiting to see what Cups and Seas are like now before I decide to keep order and take a plunge...

8-10 months of the year, we get a good selection and normally at least 12 games a year that I play for anything between 3 and 20 hours. That sees me well beyond the value for money factor..!

The sniping happens on both sides of the valley. Truth is, I'm on the PS side at the moment (with a reasonable PC but not bang up to date now). So unless I keep my Scorpio order for November, I won't play FM anyway. I have an opinion on all games...same as anyone but truth is, its not based on platform it's running on. It's on the games themselves.
